Hey yall. I am a bit swamped, and am having a hard time finding motivation for this game in particular. Unfortunately I think I am going to dip out. Thanks for everything, it was a fun concept and thank you Genis for executing it well. The game really does feel like dark souls. I hope you all defeat the darkness.

Hey! Thanks for inviting me to your game, it sounds exciting. Any important details I should know before creating a character (besides those listed on the first page of this ooc thread)? Eight pages of ooc chatter seems insurmountable to me haha.

Page one has all the details for character generation. There is some other detail scattered around the place but I'm going to gather those details from around the place into their own thread.

Welcome, it'll be cool to see what sort of character you come up with. I've put my sign down in a lot of areas, so we'll meet up eventually.

Your character has been approved snowy, just make sure you record what your prepared spells are somewhere...

Alright, I've submitted my character. Let me know what you think. I did have one question though. Are we using the Lordran pantheon, or a custom one? I was curious about what the source of my spellpower was.

The pantheon is technically the same as Lordran, but with a greater focus on the worship of 'saints' who are Herod of the dragon war.

Cool I'll just play it by ear anyway.

Sorry about the lack of posting this last week, but I had so much marking to get done and not enough time to do it. I'm done teaching for the semester so I'll be able to maintain a high post rate for a while...

I'd also like to apologise to Toasty and snowy it's been a while since I posted in your threads. I've had some scheduling problems which had been sapping my energy. I have the last concert for a little while tomorrow (well today now) and my teaching commitments are relaxed so soon it will just be me battling the demons of focus and I should win that fight...

I've already asked Jabes this, but I was curious Unknown, how much Dark Souls experience do you have. This game doesn't require any lire knowledge heading in, but a familiarity with some of the tropes may help, also having a certain expectation as to how the story and fun will be delivered might be good...

I've never played the videogame so I have zero knowledge of Dark Souls. Well, close to zero. Last year someone ran a Dark Souls themed game via Google+ using PbtA rules. Beyond that I know nothing. :-)

I've always found this image very compelling. Maybe this is how my character died. Do the PC's have any knowledge of their past? Would a paladin fit into the narrative given that we're undead and all?

Paladins fit, considering as it's essentially one of the archytypes in the game. You can decide how much your character remembers from their past but there should be so loss and imperfection.

I have absolutely no knowledge but I did just get Dark Souls 2 which I hope I can find time to play.
