Well, I went ahead and computed all skill values based on the rule book, and also took the time to put everything in the (very good) character sheet made by cowleyc (with a few adjustments). I also included my trappings.

Some additional rolls below.

Rolls

sheets of parchment - (1d10)

(3) = 3

brass pennies - (4d10)

(951010) = 34

So I submitted my character, Artur Dünn, priest of Shallya. It should be pretty complete, but there are a few things I would like to discuss:
1/ Permission to trade my dagger for a staff, which would be more appropriate for a priest
2/ We still have to discuss about motivation
3/ I computed Artur has 100XP, maybe I'm wrong, but in any case how am I supposed to use these points?

You have 120 points from character creation. You can spend them to purchase advances and/or talents. Each advances equals a 1% increase to your current characteristic or skill in said skill or characteristic. The book should list costs, each talent, the first rank in a talent is 100XP, if the talent has multiple ranks, each additional rank is another hundred XP, and so on.

A dagger is as much a tool as a weapon, it’s used for eating, cutting strips of cloth into bandages, everything. I will allow you to find a suitable wooden walking stick that can count as a quarterstaff on your journey along the Emperor’s road, if you wish, though.

OK, I spotted the advancement table. I chose to use 110 XP to add 1 Advance point to Artur's Perception. Taken into account your answer about the staff, I believe I am pretty much done on my side.
