Tosti looks around the stone circle for anything that sticks out, and then greets the knight.

"Greetings, I am Tosti of Hvall. What brings you to this mysterious land?"
Nov 9, 2016 12:50 am
Hmm seems your not a hollow after all, shame really I was kind of hoping you were... I am Gallek of Thander, and it might seem strange but I don't remember why I'm in these lands. I'm here waiting for some hollow to come up from the grave yard though. Hehe.
Nov 9, 2016 1:19 am
"It's not strange, as I'm in a similar predicament. The hollows have no end here, so I'm sure you'll get your wish eventually."

Tosti eyes the large stone structure in the distance.

"What do you know of these lands? I've only just arrived and I'm not sure which roads to take."
Nov 9, 2016 7:20 am
He indicated to a path that heads down a slop, hooking around and out of sight. That path leads to the coast, there's a small village there, we there was one. he indicates to a steep path that heads up the mound. Theres a burial mound up there somewhere, though I've never seen it. he indicates to a fourth path And that path leads to the firekeep.
Nov 9, 2016 11:19 am
"Ooh, you are well informed! I'll be on my way then, I'm sure we'll meet again. Before I go, is there anything i can do for you? I'm gifted in the art of healing, though I can't remember who taught me."
Nov 9, 2016 9:25 pm
Me? Hehe, I don't really need anything. But you seem nice so take this. he offers you the black sprite I certainly don't need it any more. Hehe.
Nov 9, 2016 9:59 pm
Tosti takes the black sprite, and makes a mental note to inspect closely when he gets a chance.

"Gallek and Thander, I'll pray for you. Thank you for the gift, I'll repay you the next time we meet!"

Something in Tosti's muddled mind urges him to head for the burial mound, so that's the direction he heads.

The distant lands of Thander are known for its priests, their deity is one who calls for self sacrifice and the giving of oneself for those who cannot hold up themselves.

Sounds very paladiny.
Tosti continues down the pathway slowly, being careful of any ambushes or signs of life. He especially keeps an eye out for landmarks or rest areas, in case there are other travelers.

As you climb you enter a region of scarce woods, you approach a gated wall, with two hollows equipped with bows above it.
Nov 10, 2016 12:10 pm
Tosti attempts to study the area before acting. He wants to find out how the gate opens, and if there are other ways inside.
OOC:
Edit: Well, he won't be finding anything out... I guess I'm just looking for a general description of the wall/gate. Is it possible to see through the gate?

The gates are slightly ajar, so you'll be able to pass through it. You don't see another way in...
Nov 13, 2016 5:00 am
Not seeing any other way in, Tosti takes a breath and charges for the gate.

Seeing you charge in the hollows on the wall knock their arrows and prepare to fire down on you.
OOC:
You will need to spend a move action to close and an action to force the gate open wide enough for you to pass
The barrage begins the first shot is embedded in your shield, but the second finds flesh.

After sprinting to the gate, he stops to pull out the bolt that hit.

One of these days I'll learn...

He pulls it out with a grimace, and then pushes the heavy gate wide enough for him to fit.
OOC:
So the undead don't have coagulated blood or anything, but everything else seems pretty zombie-ish. I guess they are more like vampires than zombies.

OOC:
It really depends on how human you are. If you've got full humanity you look entirely human, except you cannot die and have the darksign on you. If your fully hollow you look like a desiccated corpse.
Behind the wall the woods grows denser, breaking sight-lines to the mound. About 30 feet away is a ladder to get up onto the wall. The hollows cannot see you where you are. (But they will have prepared shots that go of as soon as you pass their line of sight.)

I don't know why the damage processed twice, ignore the second one.

Using 'Lay on Hands' to heal 20hp before I get shot some more. Since I get two actions, I want to use one to heal and the other to move further up the ladder.
While under the gate, Tosti mutters a quick prayer and places his free hand on his chest. His wounds are healed by divine power, and he soldiers on. He tries to make it up the ladder before the hollows have time to reload, but they easily nail him with bolts.
OOC:
I want to get as close to them as possible, I figure I only made to the top of the wall though?
Nov 13, 2016 9:41 am
As you crest the ladder the hollows fire two more shots. They stand separately, and you will only be able to engage one at a time.

Forgot to ask earlier, what's the climate like in Legrion?
Tosti takes the hit and attacks the nearest crossbowman. He instinctively lets out a war cry, but doesn't quite recall what it means.

(Typically, the paladins of the Ancient Order will shout the name of the god of nature and war, Tyr. Screaming 'Tyr owns ye' or 'Back to Tyr' is also common since it is believed that Tyr is the source of all life, and killing someone just means you are sending their light back to him.)

"BACK TO TYR, HOLLOW!"
