Part 1: Deliverance

Seeing the opportunity to play 'bad cop' to Jack's 'good', Savi gives his companion a quick, knowing look and adds, "Rest assured, until we've been paid, no one is opening or tampering with these crates. Keeping them closed and sealed won't be a problem." Savi keeps smiling at Thessa and puts in, "We take our contracts seriously. Our clients' concerns are our concerns."

Bo just shrugged when asked if Thessa could scan the crates. She drags the droid onto the ship just inside the ramp and sits down to see who "Quin Telsh" is on the networks

Thessa nods graciously, "I understand completely, and appreciate your discretion and professionalism." She finishes scanning the crates and stands with a smile. "Everything is in order. I would propose that we call Chusk to clear up the matter of your payment. May we use the holotransmitter on your ship?"
Dec 26, 2016 11:27 am
Bo is able to easily find information on Quin Telsh. He is a local trader of ill repute, who doesn't bother to hide the fact that he doesn't mind where he gets the goods, or information, that he sells.

Jack is considerably more relaxed with the scan complete and Thessa's insistence that the contents remain secretive. Everything seemed to be going how it was expected to go, with only a few minor hiccups. "Sure. Just in here," Jack will say with a beckoning motion of his hand, leading the way toward their transmitter. He looks back to make sure Savi or the others would follow. Jack wasn't eager to be on call with Chusk with only Thessa around.

Savi catches Jack's quick look and follows the pair up the loading ramp.
Dec 27, 2016 6:16 am
Watching them enter the ship, and not being eager to hear Chusk's voice, Avox elects to stay with Bo, Doc, and the cargo.
Dec 27, 2016 8:54 pm
OOC:
Savi and Jack, do you stand in view of the holotransmitter?
Dec 27, 2016 8:57 pm
OOC:
Unless told to do otherwise, Jack would.
Dec 27, 2016 9:27 pm
OOC:
Since Jack is in view, Savi would be happy to remain just off to the side where he can easily step in if/when needed. For dramatic effect ;)
Dec 27, 2016 9:42 pm
Thessa, how good to hear from you. I assure you the shipment will…oh, I see the shipment has arrived. I trust there were no…complications?
Dec 27, 2016 9:42 pm
Everything seems to be in order with the shipment, however your associates have concerns that they won’t get paid. I wanted to include you to ensure that the negotiations went smoothly and there were no further misunderstandings.
Dec 27, 2016 9:43 pm
Yes, yes of course. Mr….ah, I’m afraid I can’t recall your name, but you are one of Avox’ crew, yes? We agreed to a flat rate of 2000 credits, did we not?
Dec 27, 2016 9:53 pm
Jack can't help but laugh a little at being called "one of Avox' crew" - if only the Gank had heard that - but he keeps the show of humor short so as not to be offensive. "Something like that," he says in response, skipping the part where he gives his name. "No confusion as to the amount of pay. Simply wanted to make sure that you were satisfied, and that the transfer would be going through, before handing everything over. Didn't want to give your goods to the first lady calling herself Thessa." He gives Thessa a little smirk. He turns back to Chusk, "Though on the subject of pay, we did arrive early, and it seems our mutual friend was eager to reward that. Seems a smart idea to smooth over those details now, if that's the case."
Dec 28, 2016 12:33 am
Thessa frowns and glances at Savi as she interjects, "That seems an unusually small percentage, Chusk, for independent contractors."
Dec 28, 2016 12:39 am
Jack looks at Thessa, and then back at Chusk, "Oh, it is, is it?"
OOC:
I just assumed that was the agreed on pay, since we didn't play out that part. Hope I didn't just agree to a smaller cut than what was originally offered :P
Dec 28, 2016 12:44 am
Savi raises an eyebrow in surprise. Thessa is seemingly attempting to negotiate a higher wage for them with her contact. Fascinating. As much as he wanted to jump in, he decided it would be better to see how her most recent comment would be received by Chusk before doing anything rash.

2000 did seem a trifling amount. He wasn't impressed.
Dec 28, 2016 10:09 am
Thessa's eyes crinkle slightly in amusement at Savi's surprise, but she keeps a straight face. "Forgive me, Chusk, I am but a simple trader, but I think 3000 is closer to the standard 5 percent. Once you have taken care of their payment, I will pay them the early delivery fee myself."
Dec 28, 2016 10:13 am
Cagron begins to frown then lets out an enormous laugh, A simple trader, are you? Very well, 3000. I'm sending it now. If you ever need more 'medicine', you let me know." He continues to chuckle as he signs off.
Dec 28, 2016 10:18 am
Thessa mutters quietly, "Odious man." She turns to Savi and speaks, "Now, Mr. Savi, that you have been paid and we have established I am not trying to cheat you, may we discuss your bonus? If you show good faith in turn I may have other work for you."
