Part 1: Deliverance

Savi asked the question that was on Jack's mind, so he simply crosses his arms, cocks his head and listens closely.

Thessa fiercely replies, "I don't deal with slavers." She quickly composes herself and continues, "I apologize for my anger, it is a sensitive subject for me. I am very glad that you share my sensibilities and do not work with those foul creatures." She pulls out her datapad and scrolls through a list, "There is no question that 'asset acquisition' is the most profitable activity, and there are two things that are especially hard to get, thus valuable. One is restricted weapons, the other bacta. There is a large market for either on the Outer Rim, if you know the right people."

Such an emotional reaction from an otherwise collected person causes Jack to narrow his eyes a bit, studying Thessa carefully. He is curious, to say the least, but isn't about to press the issue.

"We're fine with either," Jack says, offering a smile, "Do you have other information to go on? If not, we're capable of doing the research, but from the sound of it you might have a mark in mind."

Bo reels away from the droid shaking off her hand trying to get feeling back into it. She gives it a solid kick and which seems to hurt her more than the lifeless droid. "Catalla mujah!" Defeated she comes down the ramp and listens. When the list of jobs is revealed she just shrugs and looks to Savi and Jack to make a decision.

Savi is relieved to hear they won't be put into a situation where they would have to turn down paying work. He was in no mood to fight with the crew about morality.

His next question was addressed upon hearing Jack ask for further information in order to help choose between two seemingly equally profitable jobs. Desite himself, he didn't react to the metallic bang followed by an amusing Rodian curse. Savi, instead, crossed his arms over his chest and settled in for Thessa's reply.

Doc watches the interactions, whilst he was tempted to speak out in favour of acquiring the bacta he decided against it preferring instead to see how the negotiations panned out

Thessa looks thoughtful. "Weapons can be acquired...directly....or through an intermediary. I may have information about a shipment that could be...permanently misplaced. Bacta is much more straightforward. There are people who are very willing to sell, it's just a matter of avoiding the authorities."

Bo looks back and forth at Savi and Jack and then Thessa like she is watching a tennis match.

"Either is fine by me. Our ship took a couple hits on the way in, so we'd need to do some repairs before we put it back into the line of fire," Jack says with a shrug. He then looks around at the crew and asks, "Does anyone have a preference?" He'll look back and Thessa and ask, "Do your friends have a preference?"

Savi glances at the crew then adds, "I tend toward the path of least resistance to the greatest payout. If the pay is equal, the arms seem to carry more risk. In the end, I'm fine with either."

"The biggest payout is what I vote for. Risk be damned." Avox says, watching the exchange with a bored expression under his helmet.

"Running bacta under the noses of the imp's can be more risky than you think" Doc says "I'm with Avox, we may as well take the job that pays the best"
Jan 5, 2017 11:33 pm
"So be it."

Thessa nods. "Bacta is in high demand everywhere because of the monopoly and the imperial restrictions. It will be easy for me to sell, if you can get it here."
Jan 6, 2017 1:38 am
"Sounds like we'll go for the bacta, then." Jack unfolds his arms and pushes off of the container. He shoves his hands into his pockets, glancing around the rest of the docking port momentarily, "We'll just need the details for who to pick it up from and where to drop it off, then."
Jan 6, 2017 4:44 pm
"Very good. I will get in touch with my contacts and return with the details. I may need an hour or so."
Jan 6, 2017 4:45 pm
Just then a transport rumbles up to the door of your ship's berth. A sullustan, a human, and a wookie climb out. The three approach with confidence, waving at Thessa.
Jan 6, 2017 4:47 pm
Jack opens his mouth, about to speak, but pauses as he sees these others approaching.
Jan 6, 2017 4:47 pm
Thessa returns the wave with a smile and turns back to your group. "These are my friends. They'll load up the crates, no need to help if you have other things to do. There are many shops nearby, and if you tell them I sent you they might not fleece you too badly."
Jan 7, 2017 6:20 am
"Speaking of shops. I think its about time to divvy up our cuts of the earnings." Avox says to the group.
