Avox continues his vigil, neither speaking nor reacting to Jack. He eyeballs Thessa when she approaches, but decides she does not seem to be an immediate threat.

She sits and smiles at the two friendly humans. "Yes, three days early. If the cargo is still intact and as expected, then that will be a nice bonus for you and your crew."

Meanwhile...

Doc, you notice some movement amoung the unpacked crates.
Dec 12, 2016 10:29 am
Doc pulls his blaster pistol, making sure the stun setting is enabled and moves round the crates to get a better look at what is moving.

"Glad to hear," Jack says gratefully, propping one leg up on the other and leaving the business talk to Savi.
Dec 12, 2016 2:49 pm
Savi nods as Jack expresses his satisfaction. Maintaining a pleasant demeanor he says, "Indeed it is good to hear. Delivery was not as...straight forward as originally advertised." Savi spreads his palms apart in a gesture of resignation before continuing. "Such is the nature of our business, however." He smiles and continues, "Your equipment is intact, safe, and under guard. Shall we discuss transfer of funds, and the nature of this bonus, before final transfer? We don't want to keep you from your other affairs."

Bo feels like there isn't much of a threat in the cantina and will pay for her drink and exit the Rancor. She stays near the doors leaning against the outside wall pretending to use her commlink while actually attempting to keep an eye out for an watchers or massing thugs.
Dec 13, 2016 12:10 am
Thessa looks briefly concerned when Savi mentions trouble, but relaxes and then begins to smile knowingly, recognizing a fellow negotiator when she hears one. With a appreciative gleam in her eye she counters, "I would, of course, need to see the crates to reassure myself first. Your payment will come from Chusk; he should have told you that. As for your bonus, I think that 5% a day is reasonable."
Dec 13, 2016 12:11 am
Doc, you catch a brief glimpse of a droid of some kind, scurrying between the crates.
Dec 13, 2016 11:30 am
"Of course." Savi acknowledges Thessa's request. "We would be happy to escort you to your shipment where you can inspect it at your leisure. You understand we can not release control of it to you until we have concluded the transfer of payment. A savvy business woman like yourself must certainly appreciate that it matters not to us whether that payment comes from you or Chusk. That is entirely up to you to sort out, my lady." He smiles at her in a way suggesting he is simply stating matter-of-fact necessities and not trying to one-up her in any way.

Savi takes a sip of his drink as he continues his appraisal of the shrewd woman before him. "If you are free now, my compatriots and I are amenable to taking you, or your designate, to your merchandise without delay." He crooks an eyebrow and gestures toward the door, "Shall we?"

Doc moves round the crates, trying to get a better look at the droid.

Jack fails to fully stifle a chuckle at Savi's reply, unable to keep from finding humor in the way he talks. It never ceases to amuse him how Savi talks so politely while in the backwater of the galaxy. He'd be surprised if Thessa has ever had anyone call her 'my lady.' "Fantastic," Jack says, rising to his feet. He shifts his belt on his waist and says to Thessa, "Certainly won't turn down more credits, but seeing as how the best bonus we could ask for is more business, I imagine you'll have more cargo to move around, yeah?"
Dec 14, 2016 1:28 am
Doc peers around a crate and spies a small mechanic droid poking at the side of another crate.
Dec 14, 2016 1:31 am
She stands gracefully and nods, "Certainly. Please, lead the way." When Jack stands she reaches to twine an arm around his elbow and says, "You, I like. I do indeed have more cargo, should this transaction be concluded satisfactorily to all."
Dec 14, 2016 3:26 am
Jack casually takes her arm in his, leading her back the direction they came, "Best news I could've hoped for. My name's Jack, by the way. Thessa, right?"
OOC:
Took me hours after posting this to remember that Jack already knew her name (or at least could assume it). :P woops.

"That's right. Nice to meet you, Jack. So what kind of things are you interested in? My friends have lots of needs, and I do my best to fill them."
Dec 14, 2016 10:38 am
Doc moves up towards the droid and gives it a nudge with his foot, keeping the blaster pistol trained on it "What are you up to?" he says to it
Dec 14, 2016 11:18 am
"Pleasure's mine," he replies. "Well, we're likely to transport whatever'll fit in our hold, with a few exceptions."

"The rodian in the cantina mentioned 'crazy homesteaders?'" He asks curiously, letting the words trail off in the hopes she might explain them.
