Well that depends, do you have any titanite? I'll need some titanite to enhance that. I could craft you new arms and armour if you need it.
Jan 3, 2017 9:57 pm
"Unless you are selling titanite, I dont have any." Rawlyn says with some disappointment. "What kind of weapons could you make?"
Jan 4, 2017 10:20 am
Well if I had some I certainly would have used it already. As for what can I make, a better question is what can't I make. If it can be smithed and you can dream of it I can smith it.

"Well that certainly is impressive." Rawlyn thinks on what he may want, but looks down at his current armaments and smiles. "I think I will make do for now. So long." He heads away from the smith, being sure to make a mental note of where the smith is, should he need his services in the future. He looks around for any obvious paths to continue his journey.

The battlefield between the encampment and the outer walls of the keep is shear pandemonium. The ground is reduced to potholed mud as a the result of in determinant years of mindless fighting. The walls of the keep itself are manned by ballista but you see a vector of approach that could allow you to avoid their fire that leads to the main gates. You could forge your own path across the chaos but this will likely leave you open to attack from the wall. On the ground near the exit of the encampment is a glowing rune.
OOC:
In case you want a sense of scale, if the terrain was unhindering you could walk across it in ~half an hour.

OOC:
Sorry can I get a clarification; Were you using the trench to get cover from the fighters on the wall or picking your way across the battlefield.
Jan 6, 2017 5:58 am
OOC:
Between those two I suppose the trench. I was hoping to find a way to get to the wall itself and go along it.
Jan 6, 2017 6:05 am
OOC:
Ah, well the walls of the keep are a fare way away and the broken walls before the encampment isn't connected to the keep at all. Also did you want to ignore the runes on the ground?
Jan 6, 2017 11:30 pm
OOC:
Oh my apologies, I suppose I visualized it wrong I thought I could get atop the wall and neutralize the ballista. I will alter his intentions.
Thinking hard about the path he could take, Rawlyn elects to head down the trench. He, again, removes his shortsword electing for a shadowy approach. Though it is more cramped, it is better than risking the open fire of the artillery. He heads to the curious rune in the distance.

My stealth roll form earlier was a 12

OOC:
Sorry I really botched this description, the rune wasn't in the distance, it was right in front of the camp you were leaving, if you want to interact with the rune you can just do it automatically.

OOC:
Ah okay. No worries.
As he lowers himself and prepares to head out, he stops to notice and odd glowing rune. He quickly investigates it.

As you examine it a glowing golden image of a female knight springs from the rune, it flickers for a moment, as if it is unsure whether it truly exists.
Jan 7, 2017 3:41 am
The knight's form takes hold. She wears finely crafted armour, and carries a shield and spear.

I examine the other, note that they are not hollowed, and introduce myself, "Alara. The path ahead is dangerous."

Just for your information Alara, you arrive as if you had just rested at a bonfire. You can remember as much as you desire from your thread, even stuff that you discover in the future.

Rawlyn takes several steps back and holds his weapon forward in alarm at first. When she materializes in earnest he is stunned, but shakes it off and quickly sheathes his weapon. "Uh... oh yes. Thank you for your warning. I am Rawlyn, an... adventurer of sorts." He says is a polite bow.

"It is unwise to be unarmed." I turn and face away from the encampment, "I believe I can accompany you, thought for how long I do not know."
Jan 7, 2017 11:00 pm
"That is great news." Rawlyn says gaining his bearings. "Have you any knowledge of this land?" He says gesturing over the battlefield.

There is a path that will keep you safe from attack from the walls. Along that path are great foes. That is all I know... At this time.
Jan 8, 2017 8:28 pm
"Very well, lead on. And thank you." Rawlyn unsheathes his rapier and crouches slightly, preparing himself to follow Alara.

I nod, then follow the route that leads towards the castle gate that is safe from ballista fire, "The first foe on this route is strong but slow. Try not to let it hit you."
