Hello everyone, I'm Cydonia. (They/Them)
I'm looking for a pbp game with Oceanic time, I would like D&D 5e 2014 or 2024, Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder 2e, but I'm open to trying new things.
I like a good mix of mechanics and story telling, especially when the mechanics help to tell that story. I like to get deep into the details and minutiae of a setting to make sure a character fits. I do like to optimise, but in the sense of trying to get an interesting idea to work as well as it can rather than min-maxing or breaking encounters. I still pick things for flavour and story telling then just mechanical prowess.
I've been writing for 5-6 years online in various RP settings, fantasy, sci-fi, urban. Both rules light and more recently stepping into the foray of heavier systems through pbp.
I've played D&D 5e for a couple years, and run a few games. I'm starting an IRL Ghosts of Saltmarsh campaign adapted to the 2024 rules.
Pathfinder I've only played online, and Call of Cthulhu only a few sessions of (mix of oneshot and campaign).
I've played other systems as well and I'm a quick learner.
I typically play odd characters and am not afraid to say I'm a scalie at heart. I'll most likely want to play some denomination of Dragonborn/Kobold/Lizarfolk or the setting equivalent, but I'm aware some of those aren't always available.
I'm new to Forum PbP, usually playing on Discord so it might take me some time to adjust.
I come as a package deal with my partner, who if things work out well here, will hopefully be joining GP and any games I join as well.
