OOC:
Agreed. We should put some distance between us and the Casualties. I am a little confused about how far we are from the different groups of Casualties. Can we simply outrun them?

OOC:
Loan Shark is in the clear as long as you are going back the way you came. Claire and Ham Bone need athletics checks to outmaneuver and distance themselves enough from their respective mobs to escape. Run needs to end his melee either by killing the remaining zombies or disengaging and then running (Essentially 2 athletics rolls on two consecutive turns). All of those athletics rolls must be bought with a ration charge, but you can spend multiple rations to give yourself extra bonuses to your black die. Each extra ration gives you an additional plus one. All of that assumes you have at least one point of athletics, if not you have to roll a black die under your SPD potential. It still costs one ration to roll, but you can't spend extra rations for bonus.

Never being particularly keen on engaging at all, Run pulls out. Come on guys he's free lets just bug out.
Dec 9, 2016 6:52 am
Claire looks over at Loan, "Yeah, lets back out... not down to get bit." She attempts to distance herself from the danger.
OOC:
Yet another failed roll... this damn character lol. Claire has a good amount of rations, so how do I add bonus to my roll?

Edit: Oh, guess I can spend two more rations to get extra bonus on the roll. Seems I would have 21 Ration Charges left.

Rolls

Athletics - BvR - (1d10+2, 1d10)

1d10+2 : (4) + 2 = 6

1d10 : (7) = 7

OOC:
As it'll make no difference whether I melee or run, I'll keep trying to take these two out. I still have a will if I need to reverse a roll.
OOC:
Edit : Using Will to reverse that one!

Rolls

Bat (B) - (1d10+3)

(2) + 3 = 5

Bat (Red) - (1d10)

(9) = 9

Extra rations need to be spent before the roll
Claire reverses direction just a bit too fast and gets tripped up by Theo, who yaps happily. Maybe overgrown puppies don't make the best sidekicks after all...
OOC:
Knife: Is Run making a second attack this turn (and thus forfeiting the ability to dodge?) or will that attack be made next turn? If the latter, the zombies will be attacking you first and you'll have an opportunity to dodge.

Genisisect: Ham Bone's up. FYI: you have four turns before the zombies can attack you. Also, don't forget to add your potential to whatever your next roll is since you did a ready action last turn.

I think you mean Hamish, I control Loan, who has already GTFOed
Dec 10, 2016 3:48 am
OOC:
You are correct. My bad

Hamish: what I said before :)

OOC:
That's for whenever my next turn is up. Still holding twitch for dodge.

Ham-Bone looks at all the Casualties converging on them and thinks discretion is the better part of valour. He wants to help Run, but with the zeds in close, doesn't want to take a chance of shooting the wrong person. Reluctantly, he follows Claire and Loan.
OOC:
Forgot the roll

Rolls

Athletics B - (1d10+1)

(8) + 1 = 9

Athletics R - (1d10)

(3) = 3

Dec 10, 2016 1:51 pm
Ham Bone manages to maneuver around the encroaching hoard and make it to the tree line.

The two remaining zombies snarl and claw at Run.
OOC:

Knife: I'll take that athletics roll to dodge now. If that roll fails, give me a Resistance roll to avoid being knocked prone.

Initiative Order
13 - Run
12 - Claire
9 - Ham Bone
8 - #5
3 - Loan Shark
0 - Casualties

Dodging

Rolls

Athletics black - (1d10+3)

(9) + 3 = 12

Athletics red - (1d10)

(10) = 10

If years of experience hadn't taught you otherwise, it would seem as though the C's had coordinated their counterattack perfectly to take advantage of Run's botched attack. Just as Run's bat recoiled off the branch overhead, one zombie attacks his legs as the other swipes at his back. Even so, Run's fast twitch reflexes win the day as he leaps away from one and over the other. In one smooth motion, Run rolls back up to his feet facing the zombies, bat raised over his head and promptly pounds the lower zombie into the ground.
OOC:
Valcos: Claire is up. The mob advances and you have four rounds before they can attack you.

Claire stumbles over the bumbling dog of hers, "Come on, Theo!" she uses his strong back to get up, he licks her arm happily.

Rolls

Athletic - (1d10+2, 1d10)

1d10+2 : (5) + 2 = 7

1d10 : (4) = 4

Claire bobs and weaves carefully around the zombies and her dog and over to the tree line. She is just a bit behind Loan Shark and Ham Bone.

OOC:
Ham Bone: You are out of range of the zombies, but can still fire at them or the ones engaged with Run to get him free. Firing into a melee is a precision roll meaning you can't add any extra charges form your rifle to the roll.

OOC:
If I miss, will I hit Run? Or is that only on a critical?
