He isn't hiding his observation from Fang, because he seems to have him figured out (due to them arriving together and being here for the same amount of time - enough time to formulate a favourable opinion of both his intent and ability).

As far as the others go, he isn't trying to hide it, he's just trying not to be obvious. So if someone watches him for a few minutes he'd know that Reizei is listening.

I'll make a roll in case you need one still.

I could definitely give you directions! What were you doing when you got captured? Why don't you have things on your legs like the bad people have? Drow, is that what the bad people are called? I guess....yes, the bad person is one of the drow, but he's different, he's not a free drow. He's a PRISONER! Stool launches into a barrage of questions, excited it would seem, for someone to finally speak with. His voice is tinged with a touch of desperation.

Good because I would need directions. I was on the surface when I got caught. I have to admit I thought I was dead and never imagined I would end up down here. Things on my legs ? Dustin looks at his legs for a moment.

Drow prisoner, someone like him. Dustin thinks about the Drow in the cell with them.
Drow are the beings that have us locked up in here.

Then to Shuushar, Kuo-Toa, alright I will remember the name. You seem to have a very accepting philosophy, do you not wish to be free ?

Dustin will slowly move his hands using Theives Cant to see if anyone responds. A simple identify signal is given.

Yeah! Things on your legs. Like the - drow - that captured us! They have some weird plant covering thing on their legs. But, like, in a pattern. Stool says, trying to be helpful.


It is not a matter of want, landwalker. It is a matter of being one with everything. Do no harm and allow the course of events to present themselves. Then, comes contemplation. I would not complain if I were to be released, but neither will I complain if I remain detained.

You get much the same look from the guards when you speak Orc and Giant at them that you do when you speak common: disinterest at best, disgust at the worst. Most of the guards that have stood watch thus far are not overly friendly or talkative with you.

I think you mean boots Stool. Something to keep their feet from harm.

Then to Shuushar, I have to admit that I am not so calm about our situation. Do you have a home Shuushar ? Do you live down here or were you taken from the surface like me ?

You definitely remember what the drow look like. You see them every few hours at the gate and they lead you to and from your work duties. Most are clothed in simple armor, if any. Silken clothes for some, heartier cloth for others.
Haha, you're funny Dustin! Not BOOTS, I know what BOOTS are! These aren't on their FEET, it's on their LEGS. Silly! Stool says, chuckling as much as a sentient mushroom can.

I don't know if I can send pictures, but I'll try! Stool says happily. Before too long you get a hazy image of a pair of legs wrapped in some kind of heavy cotton pants.

HAH, friendly. Not hardly friendly to landwalkers. Plus, most of my family are vile beings.

Essentially, yes. You are all in barest of rags. What you are wearing on your legs could, maybe, pass for daisy duke style shorts. Males are not afforded tops, females have a top that comes to mid-stomach only.

Took our pants ! bastards. Ok Drow just moved up from mostly harmless.

Dustin looked to Shuushar, Alright well I guess that is one place we avoid then. Thanks for the information Shuushar, anything you want to now about the surface world ?

Pants! What a funny name for something for your legs! It's pretty cool that the picture thingy worked! I hadn't tried that before!

Information is always welcome, but at the moment, there is nothing pressing I need to know.

You can hear us ? Dustin wasn't quite sure how the mental speak worked but was surprised when Stool spoke to someone else.

Don't worry Stool, I will try and get you home if at all possible.

He then thought at the one Stool was mentally talking too, You wanna help get that drow to tell us where our pants and other things are, if they even bothered keeping them.

'That' drow you refer to has no obligation to tell any of you surface scum anything. I'm imprisoned because of crimes against another drow, but a drow I remain. Talk of escape is dangerous if you don't know who all is listening. Perhaps you should better watch your mental tongue or watch who is able to listen. A vile voice creeps into all of your minds, full of both disgust and hatred.
