I could head down first and make sure the coast is clear to start lowering ppl, if spiders come in can hold them off. Dec 7, 2016 8:00 pm

The Drow still outnumber us and have Quaggoths and more spiders too. So this is safer then fighting them all. At least I think. If Cemos wants to be first down I am ok with that too. Just he is strong and could help lower people too.Dustin stands ready with his crossbow.

I uhhh, I got a really weird idea. Bildaweer how often can you do the ice thing ? Maybe we could freeze the water down there and then no one has to get wet. Make an icy path to walk on ?"

I personally think he should hold the spell slots for a big bad just in case, that is a cool idea all the same. Last edited December 7, 2016 8:12 pm

Dustin doesn't know much of magic so thats why he asked. Your right though we may need those spells later.Dec 7, 2016 8:16 pm
Cemos ties one end of the Rope around his waist and gets ready to repel down the cliff.now don't be forgettin to tie off that other end and make sure fang or one of you stronger folk hold on to the other end.
OOC:
once down I would like to make a perception check looking obviously for spiders but also any structural weaknesses in the web and I will use one of my inspiration dices for Advantage.Last edited December 7, 2016 8:16 pm

(Yes will have the whole rest of the gang hold the ropes not wanting anyone to fall.)

Checking the web, you find a number of weak places, structurally speaking. A few areas you think you could easily slice through with minimal effort making it easy to go right into the water.
Additionally, Derendil offers to hold lines above, acknowledging that this horrid condition allows him to benefit the team in that way, at least.

Cemos looks around,Seeing no apparent danger he unties the rope from himself and signals dustin to start letting people down

Fear not your majesty, your aid is most needed and most appreciated. in elvish.
Dustin will keep watch though concerned with keeping any spiders away from Cemos who had brought him back from the brink.
Dustin will harness people and make sure they are lowered down then at Cemos bidding. Shushaar first as he is a swimmer and he will have enough slack rope given him to pull people to dry land so they keep dry.

One by one, the former slaves begin a delicate process of climbing down the ropes the 15 or so feet to the webs below. Each touch sends a light tremor through the strands.
Before too long, you have all 13 of you down on the webbing, safe as can be. At Sarith's suggestion, everyone remains as still as possible to avoid calling the spiders.
With a full complement of people, and supplies (which Derendil very helpfully packaged and strapped to his back), what do you do?
There is about 15 minutes left now until you think the work party will be retrieved.

Well lowering Shushar then perhaps Cemos so we get strong people who can angle the long ropes so that they can help people ashore.
"Alright let's get going. We need to hurry."

Shuushar walks forward slowly and nods his head at Cemos. With what you think is a smile, he falls through the hole and enters the water with nothing resembling a splash. A few moments later, you see him emerge on the large cavern floor and wave up at you.

After watching Shuushar fall so gracefully through the hole and to the water below, Cemos decides that it looks like no big deal. Testing the rope, he leans over to check his ties, only to have his prodigious beard and newly restored amulet throw him slightly off balance. He tumbles through the air, flailing. A mess of arms and legs and beard. By some miracle, or divine intervention, or dumb dwarven luck, he manages to enter the water feet first.
It isn't pretty, and makes a mighty splash, but he's not injured and it doesn't seem to be louder than the waterfall.
