Dustin grabs the pillows and blanket from the sleeping area and passes them back.

When he spots the ladder he holds a finger to his lips and listens at the opening.

Cemos looks to dustin. do you think you could sneak down and see if it is clear for the rest of us to come down? I don't want to get jumped climbing down the ladder.

Dustin nods, Hold my legs. He waits for Cemos to do so and then peeks his head through the opening holding his hand crossbow and looking around. Especially wise to spiders.
Dec 7, 2016 2:17 pm
Cemos takes hold of Dustin's legs and begins to lower him into the hole.
Dec 7, 2016 2:24 pm
As your head clears the hole, you see a lavishly decorated room, replete with silken pillows and all the trappings of a comfortable life. It is very different from the other spaces you've seen, where the outfitting has been pretty spartan in nature. The same black webbing is hanging from the walls as it does in all spaces. At the foot of a large bed is a heavy looking wooden chest. A small table with two chairs and a small silver framed mirror sits on the left while a small shrine sits on the right with a carved image of a spider worked in bone and ivory.
Dec 7, 2016 2:31 pm
Dustin indicates to pull him up and tells them what he saw and what he didn't see people or spiders.

A quick check to make sure that there were no bells on the ladder. If not he handed one end of the long silk rope he had to Cemos.
He will try to quietly move to the chest and tie the rope around it so they could hall it out. It could be opened later in the guard tower.

He also threw the pillows and blankets up they had been sleeping on stone now everyone would atleast have pillows.
He is wary of the small shrine but kept the mirror which might be handy.

Just note Dustin is still keeping alert looking for Eldreth's hammer.
Dec 7, 2016 2:38 pm
Give me an investigation check. Can you also describe how you are tying the rope around it? The chest is ~6 feet long and stands about 2.5-3 feet tall, with a depth of almost 4 feet. This thing is massive, as chests go. You do see a lock mechanism in the center of the entire thing. If you try to lift one end, you find that you don't have the strength to lift it from the ground at all.

Dustin stops in his tracks after almost hurting himself.
He motions for Cemos to join him.

I am not even sure we can get this through the opening, I am going to try and pick the lock, just watch my back friend.

Dustin uses his lock picks on the huge chest.

Dustin feels a prick in his finger and even as he stares at the chest his vision wavers and swirls, going fuzzy until - nothing. Blackness.

Cemos, you see Dustin look at you, then at the chest, before his eyes roll into his head and he collapses in a pile on the floor. On a positive note, the lock seems like it may have sprung. You heard a decided click before the thud.
