OOC:
only one at a time, regardless.

This is, in fact, a combination of the class ability bardic inspiration (attack, ability, save), and the College of Valor augmentation, combat inspiration (damage, AC). A college of Lore bard would get cutting words instead of combat inspiration, which allows bard to use a reaction to reduce a creatures attack, ability, or damage roll

Kama opens the door, revealing a room occupied by old stone bunks, which line the walls of this barracks. The room is lit and heated by a glowing iron brazier in the middle of the room. Also in the room are five very surprised-looking bugbears, who are slow to react.

Stormsong's spell goes off on the creatures, lining two of them in harmless, colored flames.

Map, you are looking into room 11 now
OOC:
The rest of you now have a round, though Stormsong has spent his. You will have advantage on attacks vs the fiery bugbears
Jan 13, 2017 12:43 am
Kama charges in to clear the doorway and allow Xora and Gimblyn an avenue of attack. He brings Talon around as he surges forward to try and bring at least one of the bugbears down.

Rolls

Kama rushes into the room, going straight for one of the flaming bugbears. His first attack opens a gaping wound in its chest, and his second takes a large chunk out of its skull. It falls to the ground, no longer moving.
OOC:
Gimblyn, Xora?

Four hobgoblins remain to kill!
Jan 13, 2017 10:13 pm
I step a few feet past the door frame and begin firing.
OOC:
Shooting all the things! Let's say I'm aiming for the ones furthest away.

Xora's arrows both hit their targets. The first bugbear, it strikes in the chest, while it hits the other in the shoulder.

Gimblyn's fire bolt follows behind Xora's first arrow, striking that first bugbear in the face and ending its life.
OOC:
G2 has taken 5 points of damage, while G3 and G4 are both unharmed.
Jan 14, 2017 3:57 am
G2 moves past Kama to go after the archer, while the other two move in to attack the half-orc.
OOC:
Kama, you make take your Opportunity Attack on G2 if you want to.
G2 swings its morning star at Xora, striking her in the thigh as she barely moves out of range of a brutal swing (23 vs AC 14, 10 damage).

G4 launches a brutal attack, which Kama is barely able to avoid. Unfortunately, his desperate maneuver puts him right in the path of G3's attack, which hits him square in the chest (19 vs AC 17, 14 damage).
OOC:
G2 has taken 5 points of damage and is engaged with Xora, while G3 and G4 are both unharmed and are fighting with Kama.

G3 is outlined in Faerie Fire still

Your turn!

Cmbrian sent a note to CancerMan
Stormsong focuses his steely gaze on G4, points his hand while making an odd gesture and sings an incantation, "Your mother was a vegetarian kobold!".

OOC:

Bolstered by Stormsong's presence, Kama tries to react quickly enough to avoid Bugbear3's blow. He retaliates against the attack by launching a slash of his own.

G4 ignores Stormsong's insult, focused more on taking Kama down.

Kama's blade catches G3 in the thigh as the bugbear tries to step out of the way of the blow, drawing a deep gash in his leg.
OOC:
Gimblyn and Xora?

Becoming more comfortable with his spell, Gimblyn hurls another fireball at one of the goblins.

1d20+4 : (16) + 4 = 20

Gimblyn's spell strikes G3 as he is about to crush Kama's skull. The bolt of fire hits him in the face, and the screaming bugbear drops his weapon to put out the flames and clutch its ruined face.

Xora's staff strikes G2 on the side of the knee, causing it to lose its balance and falter in its attacks.
OOC:
Gimblyn, I had you target G3, who is affected by Faerie Fire, which gave you advantage. You rolled a crit and an extra 8 damage on the attack.

Also, you don't roll for wild magic on your cantrips. Only spells that are Level 1 and above.
G2 straightens up, ignoring its damaged knee, but is obviously struggling to stay on its feet. It growls through the pain and takes a swing at Xora with its morning star. Xora barely ducks below the attack as it comes sweeping in, merely grazing her head. Despite the grazing blow, her vision swims and she nearly faints from the blow (23 vs AC 14, 13 damage)

G3 is in too much pain to strike at Kama, still clutching its ruined face and howling in agony.

G4 takes up its weapon in both hands and launches a mighty overhead strike at the warrior, but he raises Talon and angles the blade slightly, changing the angle of the attack and causing the weapon to smash into the ground, causing cracks to run through the stone floor.
OOC:
G2: 11 damage, engaged with Xora
G3: 21 damage, affected by Faerie Fire, engaged with Kama
G4: No damage, engaged with Kama

Your turn again!
Jan 18, 2017 6:58 am
Kama cushions the impact of the weapon as it slides along his blade, then brings the tip of Talon overhead to slash down at the fire-enveloped bugbear. As he maneuvers the sword, the scent of blood triggers his adrenaline and Kama gets his second wind.

Rolls

Talon vs G3, Advantage, Damage - (1d20+6, 1d20+6, 1d10+4)

1d20+6 : (14) + 6 = 20

1d20+6 : (1) + 6 = 7

1d10+4 : (8) + 4 = 12

Bonus Action Second Wind HP - (1d10+2)

(9) + 2 = 11

Jan 18, 2017 11:45 am
Shocked by his violent strike, Gimblyn chooses not to scorch the bugbear again. He waves his staff, making the wooden tip glow a deep purple. With a magical hand, he pulls the bugbears weapon to the other side of the room.
OOC:
Using Mage Hand to move the weapon he dropped across the room.
Jan 18, 2017 2:03 pm
Kama's strike cuts into G3's neck and sinks several inches in. Blood sprays from the severed arteries and the bugbear falls, twitching, to the ground.

Gimblyn moves the dropped weapon safely to the corner of the room.
OOC:
G2: 11 damage, engaged with Xora
G4: No damage, engaged with Kama
Jan 18, 2017 10:52 pm
Stormsong sends a curious streak of light from his finger that lands on the breastplate of G4, then rushes in with a great yell to engage the Bugbear attacking Xora.
