Kama cannot help but hum Stormsong's hymn to himself, and as he minds its melody his own senses expand. He attempts to roll under one of the zombies' swinging arms and use his momentum to rush back to the party.

As Kama makes his way back to the party, Stormsong steps up and delivers a swipe from his sword to z7.

I take several steps back to get out of range of the zombies. Then, I imbue my arrows with a magical essence, releasing two more towards the creatures further in the back, hoping to slow their approach.

Kama is able to avoid the swing from the first zombie, coming out of his roll and leaping over the fire to land behind the group of zombies on the other side.

Stormsong steps up to Z7 and swings his blade, shearing through the zombies feeble defense to remove its head from its shoulders.

Xora launches a couple of arrows toward the group in the back. Her first arrow drops a zombie and sprays the others with a hail of thorns. Her second arrow finds another target, nearly dropping it, but it manages to keep going.

Gimblyn wiggles his fingers, launching four magic missiles; two at Z8, one at Z3, and one at Z4. He drops Z8, but the other two keep going.

The fires die down to almost nothing now, barely singeing the zombies as the walk up to Kama, swinging at him. One of them strikes him (22 vs AC, 2 damage), but he is able to avoid the other two attacks.

You are able to finish off what remains of the zombies with ease.

Kama drops to one knee at the battle's conclusion, leaning on Talon. "What was that?" he pants, leaving unspoken the cloven remains of the floating skull.

"Kama," Stormsong says as he puts a hand on his shoulder, "that was incredible. Your act of selfless bravery saved us all."

He mutters a healing word to assist in Kama's recovery.

He'll then walk up to peer around the corner into the room the zombies came from.

Kama's burns ease a bit as the healing magic lessens the amount of scorched skin. "Give me a minute to catch my breath," he says. "Then I'll be ready to move on. How's everyone? Anybody hurt?"

"Let's head back and check on Nundro," suggests Kama. "We can rest there, tell him what we've found so far. Then we can decide whether or not we spend the..." A pause as Kama instinctively looks up. "Wow, I don't even know what time of day it is down here. Did we miss dinner?"

You head back to the room where you left Nundro. You can hear snores coming from the other side of the locked door.

Stormsong gives a soft knock as he keys the lock and enters the room.

"Mr. Rockseeker, don't be alarmed...it's us, we're back."

He lets the rest of the group in, locks the door behind them, and slumps up against the nearest wall.

"Well, we cleared two rooms. One was empty."
