Looking up from under her wing, Baraq screeches a challenge as she readies a shield and warhammer. She leaps from the cart, spreading her wings to propel her quickly forward and engage the large wolves. We'll see who's a top predator! she thinks, eager to taste blood even as her own boils in anger. Baraq brings her hammer around, a furious strike for the jaw.

Catriona's eyes go wide as she beholds the magnificent beasts. But they're a little hard to see in this rain. She breathes primal words of power and stretches out her hand, and the wolves are limned in flickering purple light.
OOC:
Casting Faerie Fire. DEX save DC 13 or attackers will have aadvantage..
Wait, don't hurt them! Catriona cries, Maybe they're just hungry! We can give them food...

Ada will firmly jab the end of her Javelin in front of her so that the end points towards the wolves if the charge her

Neraduin looks at Catriona with disbelief.

I knew this was ridiculous.

Well, that food won't be me!

Neraduin looks at the wolf Baraq is not attacking and raises his hands once again. He makes motions as if he is trying to tear something hidden inside the air, until a sudden burst of green static in front of him appears. He points at the wolf and after a short stutter the green energy starts to accelerate towards it in a frantic manner. The blue wisps of Neraduin's previous spell start to react and shimmer and suddenly turn cyan.
OOC:
Casting Ray of Sickness. If hit, the wolf takes 2d8 poison damage and must make a CON save or be poisoned until the end of my next turn.

Seeing the wolves charge, Aera draws his bow, sending an arrow deep into the shoulder of one of the beasts. Shortly after it lands, a bolt joins it from Rolen's crossbow. Xavena points at the wolf nearest to her and a puff of gas floats out, the wolf sneezes and begins a snorting fit as the poison burns its nose. Baraq streaks over, warhammer flying through the air square into the beast's jaw. There is a mighty crack as its teeth clack together. Shortly before she cries out, a flickering purple light streak out, blanketing a large cube of space. The wolf with the bolt and arrow sticking out of it is outlined with a pulsing purple outline. Just as that purple light settles around the wolf, Neraduin yells out and a green ray swirls out towards the other wolf. Its head hangs as it begins to sway a bit in place. Orseas pokes his head out from under a damp blanket and summons a sacred fire under the feet of the un-arrowed wolf. The wolf nimbly dodges out of the way.

The arrow pierced wolf is staggering in place, clearly bleeding heavily. The other wolf is bleeding as well, but less extensively than the first.

Seeing everyone attacking the wolves puts Ada somewhat uneasy They haven't done anything to us I don't want to hurt them but I don't want to look weak either... Catriona has tears streaming down her cheeks. No, no, no, please stop! Don't hurt her! I can talk to her...calm her down!

Please, wolf, my friends are just really scared. They don't really want to hurt you. I'm so sorry about your mate. PLEASE just run away!
OOC:
Is the remaining wolf the one lit up with Catriona's Faerie Fire? If so, everyone's attacks should have advantage.

Is the first wolf dead or just unconscious? If the latter, I'm rolling to stabilize.

OOC:
The first wolf is unconscious, not dying, just not awake. No, the glowing wolf is the one that was shot and is now knocked out from Ada's non-lethal blow.
Dec 10, 2016 7:52 pm
Seeing the gnome tending to the felled wolf, Catriona hops off the cart to help him. As she does this she continues to plead with the other wolf.
OOC:
I hope I'm not trying to squeeze in too much into one round. No actual action in this post anyway, just a bit of RP. But if it's too much then please just ignore.

As Aera's arrow flies, coupled with the blows already struck, the second wolf falls over, its chest no longer heaving and its eyes still.

Combat Over. Free actions.

You have one dead and one unconscious wolf, though both are massive.
Dec 10, 2016 9:02 pm
Catriona shields the unconscious wolf from her companions with her body. Enough, please! They were just hungry, and probably scared, too! I know you were scared too, I don't blame you, but you didn't have to kill them! Please let me help him!
OOC:
EDIT: Crud.

Baraq temporarily ignores the half-orc child's pleas and perches upon the dead wolf's body. With quick strikes of her sharp beak, she plucks the eyes from the creature's head to swallow whole.
Dec 10, 2016 9:07 pm
"Move aside, young one, I do not wish to hit you. Would they defend us if it was one of our bodies in their place?" Rolen loads a bolt into his crossbow and points it at the wolf, which in turn, means it is pointing at Catriona.
OOC:
Letting fate decide.
