Frekki breathes deeply as she feels the tension in the room rise. She readies herself, waiting for these mysterious men to make the first move. She watches judgementally as Leth sneaks out, not sure of what he's trying to do but not stopping him. 'If these guys are as soft as their friends, we'll have no trouble.' She thought, itching to fight.

Those of you gathered by the western entrance hear the crunch of boots on wet underbrush. A word is spoken. For a fleeting instant there is a hissing, crackling sound that builds to a low rumble, followed by a thunderous CRACK...

I need Constitution saving throws from everybody but Leth.

Felor winces at the sudden noise.

Rolls

Constition save - (1d20+2)

(7) + 2 = 9

Tzipporah glances around fervently.

(Still waiting on Carillion's saving throw)

Leth, making his way around the side of the longhouse, hears a sudden crack of thunder ahead. His heart sinks.

Inside, a blast of force tears through the doorway and the very walls. Vad, Frekki, and Tzipporah, having braced themselves, remain upright even as the numbing force of the shock numbs them and blacks out their vision momentarily, but Felor is thrown back ten feet, tumbling into a pile of stones and nettles. Carillion, meanwhile...

Rolls

Vad damage - (1d8)

(3) = 3

Tzipporah damage - (1d8)

(6) = 6

Frekki damage - (1d8)

(3) = 3

Felor damage - (2d8)

(36) = 9

[Keep waiting on Carillion or roll initiative?]
Apr 22, 2015 4:17 pm
Anyone who wants to rush out of the longhouse and meet the enemy should roll initiative. Leth and anyone who wants to hunker down inside the longhouse would not be considered to be engaged in combat yet.

Standing up costs half my movement, does the remaining half get me outside or just back to the end of the longhouse where I started?
Apr 22, 2015 9:39 pm
Rubbing his eyes Vad prepares to unleash a little surprise of his own.

Rolls

Initiative +2 - (1d20+2)

(8) + 2 = 10

You could get just out from the collapsed part of the south wall.

Felor grimaces at the pain in his chest - the sharp stabs indicating multiple broken ribs. With great effort he pulls himself to a standing position, leaning on his spear for support. Closing his eyes, he calls on Fjorgyn for help, whispering a prayer under his breath. He feels a warm glow spread through his torso, and the pain recedes to a dull throb. Steeling himself for battle, Felor makes his way to the collapsed area of the southern wall and climbs out.

HP was 1.
Casting Cure Wounds on myself (I can do that right?). No spell slots remaining.
HP now 7.

(edit to add initiative if relevant)

Leth, after hearing the crack of thunder, will try to sneak around the building and get in a look at whoever is outside the building, without being seen.

edit: ....*sigh*
...don't suppose I could get an extra advantage roll from my favored terrain? ;)

A wet branch crunches loudly as Leth stumbles on it. "More of them! Outside!" the first voice exclaims.

"Let's go. Hurry," the second voice snarls.

No initiative necessary yet. Each player may declare their next action.

OOC: Can Vad see anyone to attack at this point?

Not from where he is inside the longhouse right now.

Leth winces and tenses up the second he steps on the branch. He had just given himself away, and he knew it.
BullOctorok says:
"Let's go. Hurry," the second voice snarls.
Crap. Crap crap crap. Leth thought, and all pretense of stealth left. He immediately began running towards the sound of the voices, bow and arrow ready in his hands.

"Guys, they're gonna run for it! Don't let them get away!" He yells at the longhouse as he hightails it towards the two voices.

Leth is definitely going for combat here. Also, unless I specify otherwise, he'll always try to deal non-lethal damage to other people.
