I meant the only humans in terms of where we stand.

Ah, well, then I am moving in the opposite direction in case there's still some fuel to catch on fire.
Dec 22, 2016 8:33 pm
He looks to the other man. So what do you think we should do?
Dec 22, 2016 8:34 pm
OOC:
I've already walked away to get farther from the fire.
Dec 22, 2016 8:36 pm
After noticing the other man can't hear him, he yells in a non-aggressive manner What do you think we should do?
OOC:
If the roll persists, he pauses to do this action. If it does not, then he says this while scavenging

That roll is good enough to get you the materials to make a basic shelter. Nothing more than a lean-to pitched in and around the trees, but it has space inside for at least 4 people cozily. In addition to your lean-to, you manage enough wood to likely get you through a full day of a fire, if you can find a way to light it.

I am going to wait for McDunno's response to make a move with Marty. How his character responds determines my next move.

Jim yells back over his shoulder, I think we should get farther from the fire!
OOC:
Is it a forested area Jim is walking to? Once he gets a bit farther away from the burning wreckage of the plane, he's going to try to circle around to get to the beach area. He won't go wandering into the forest, though. What kind of growth are we looking at here? Oaks? What time of year was it when I went into work?

Okay. So we move away from the fire. Marty follows the other man. It's hotter than hell out here so we shouldn't be in the sun too long.

OOC:
Yes, you are walking into a forested area. Mainly oaks and maples. You remember that you had a light jacket on, and things were just turning green. These leaves are rich bold green.

This would be the aerial view of where you are, sort of. Imagine a flaming wreck at the bottom of the picture, and perhaps a bit more beach stretching out into the water.

How big a plane are we talking? Does this look like ocean side? Any signs of civilization?
Dec 23, 2016 5:46 pm
Looking out across the water, you cannot see land on the other side. You are either oceanic somewhere, or a VERY large lake.

The top of the tail of the plane is about 24 or 25 feet in the air. The wings were attached to the top of the fuselage (from what you can see through the smoke).

Saltwater or fresh?
Dec 23, 2016 6:02 pm
Forgive the horrible photoshopping....

You have to figure the salt v fresh part out. ;)
Dec 23, 2016 6:11 pm
OOC:
Ok, I take a big whiff to see if I smell saltwater. Failing that, I go up to the water to check it out.
Dec 23, 2016 6:13 pm
The overpowering scent of burning metal sears your nose, causing you to cough and sputter.

When you get to the water, you taste a little. It's fresh!
Dec 23, 2016 6:15 pm
How does it taste? he yells over to the man.
Dec 23, 2016 6:39 pm
It's fresh.

How long have we been conscious? Long enough to see which way the sun is moving? What's the temp?
Dec 23, 2016 6:42 pm
The sun has moved a bit, if you stand with your back to the water, you have a sliver of shadow extending in front of you. Temp is warm, slightly on the unpleasant side. There is no breeze at the moment.
