Character Generation

Hey guys! Just jumped in. I'm looking at the lineup and while it looks a little loose on the magic end, I'm more of a Muggle man myself so I think I'm going to go for a monk. If its OK, Drama, I'll go for UA Kensei tradition if/when we hit level 3; either way, this guy is going to be seriously martially oriented.
@Drama, can we choose to go the "good" way after rolling, or does rolling seal our fate?

Feel free to roll and say "bah, I hate you RNG" and take the array later. My goal here is to have powerful heroes, because the enemies you face will not be strawmen. :D

Also, I figure adding a 6th gives us some flex so if people have to drop out for whatever reason (pox, plague, grandma on fire, etc), we'll still have a core group. It also opens up the possibility to have your crew do pincer maneuvers. :D

Awesome. I'll roll away then; rerolling 1s, correct? I wish I could use some rolls I just got for battling NPCs I'm using in my game... I had a monk roll a nat 18 in stats; popped that boy in Dexterity and he's a killing machine now. Also has 22 HP and a possible temporary AC of 19 at level 3... really amazing. Let's hope I do close to as well here.
EDIT:
Yes! Amazing. My rolls are:
17, 16, 16, 14, 13, 11
I'll start work on a character right away. @Drama? What country would be good for having an Asian-type contingency that would have warrior monks? Preferably of a respectable size (so my guy isn't the only one of his kind)
OOC:
Quick Question - I got one 1 total; it was the lowest so I dropped it without rerolling. Could I reroll it, or do I leave it dropped?

Rolls

Stats - (4d6, 4d6, 4d6, 4d6, 4d6, 4d6)

4d6 : (4636) = 19

4d6 : (1526) = 14

4d6 : (5354) = 17

4d6 : (2664) = 18

4d6 : (5656) = 22

4d6 : (3325) = 13

You can reroll the 1 if you'd like. If it comes up a 3 or better, you win more points!

Brevia would be your best bet. While they don't have an Asian contingent, so to speak, as the seat of the Empire, and home to the tallest peaks in the world, there are numerous sanctuary temples dedicated to the various facets of The Other, the multi-faceted force that serves as a deity to all. Because of the multi-faceted nature of The Other, there are several paths available to the warrior monk orders that have formed throughout Delmarra.

Awesome. Could I have more info on The Light? Depending on what its like, Kaio will most likely be a follower of the Rigid.

Rolls

Stat Reroll - (1d4)

(2) = 2

Sure. The Light is an embodiment of the good and the righteous in the world. Much like Pelor of Greyhawk, with a touch of St. Cuthbert. Cutherbertines would also find solace in The Rigid.

Additionally, if you want to explore a different facet, let me know. The glorious thing about a mutlifaceted entityless entity is that we can make crud up as we see fit!

Should I do that in my personal feed?

Let me actually put up a world building forum where we can all work collaboratively on fleshing the world out with things like the facets, geographic things, etc.
Jan 6, 2017 3:10 am
FYI I can see CouchLord's forum. Not sure if that was intentional or not...

Gah. I'll go take a look.

Take a look now Moofs?

Are we playing feats?
Jan 7, 2017 1:00 am
Also, how are we doing initial gear?
Jan 7, 2017 1:06 am
I'm down for feats (both variant human and in lieu of ASI in your class tree). You get the gear granted by background and class as standard. There will be some extra stuff you get near to the beginning of the adventure as befits your relatively new position as members of the freedom fighters.
Jan 7, 2017 1:08 am
Could I sell some of it instead? The Kensei path grants proficiency with extra weapons, and I would prefer to take twin longswords and virtually nothing else. This holds true to his devotion to weapons and battle and his need and desire for little else.
Jan 7, 2017 1:16 am
Not at the outset, since you are starting at level 1. As you don't get your pathway until level 3, you wouldn't have the extra proficiencies until later.

Now, that said, as a monk you don't really start with much anyway. What background were you considering? Acolyte?
Jan 7, 2017 1:20 am
*shakes head*
I'm sorry, my bad. What am I thinking? OK, I'll take the basic then.
Possibly; could I mix Acolyte and Soldier somehow?
Jan 7, 2017 1:27 am
Sure. What're you thinking? I didn't find anything (in an admittedly cursory search) online that seemed to fit the bill.
Jan 7, 2017 1:42 am
Actually, I think I'm going to go criminal. I'm thinking an assassin who was trained high in the mountains of his homeland, then went down into the world to wreak his grim work on the world, ridding it slowly of those who he believes unworthy of life. He is good, but he is chaotic - he cares little for the expectations of the world around him, rather relying on his own finely tuned moral compass. However, he has found ways to obey the letter rather than the spirit of his own moral code, which makes for an interesting dynamic.
Eventually, he will leave this life behind (mostly) for the path of the Kensei, conveniently around 3rd level (assuming we reach that level? How high is this supposed to go?)
Would there be an "Assassin's Creed" he could be a part of? It'd make it interesting if he were a member of a fairly well-known assassin's group. I have a faction in my world known as the White Blades; is there a Delmarrean equivalent?
