Jack tries to hide his surprise, and in a last-ditch attempt, works up some strength in his voice to say, "Good timing, men, you can arrest the traitor, Jcor."

The trooper gestures with his rifle, "Drop the blaster, sir."

Another trooper runs past him and searches the room. Upon finding J'cor, he examines him and announces, "He's unconscious, but uninjured."

Doc nods to Jack before turning to the officer he was following "Well, now that matters are calmed a little perhaps we should get to checking the bacta? Even if our intel about the tainted bacta doesn't play out you still seem to have some doubts about your superiors integrity, would you care to elaborate?"
Sep 3, 2017 5:08 pm
Jack drops the blaster, trying not to look entirely confused. He decides it may be best, at this point, to keep his mouth shut.

OOC:
Doc, let's have a roll for that. He doesn't quite trust you yet...go ahead and justify which roll you think makes the most sense. Difficulty will be Average.

After Jack drops his weapon, the trooper reaches down to help him up, while another trooper collects the blaster. The first trooper orders, "You two, stand guard here and comm in if you see or hear anything." The two selected nod and salute, holding their blaster rifles at the ready. The other four form a guard around Jack as they escort him back to the warehouse proper, where Doc greets him with a nod.

OOC:
I'll stick with leadership for the moment as Doc's still trying to take charge of the situation and not really lying other than about the tainted bacta (which we've already rolled for)

When the other guards are not looking, Jack gives Doc his best "What the kriff is going on" face.

The officer nods brusquely and gestures to Bo and the mechanic standing beside her, "Pick out a box from each batch and pile them by loading bay C."

He turns to the troopers accompanying Jack and demands, "Report."
Sep 6, 2017 9:10 am
The lead trooper responds, "Captain J'cor is unconscious, sir."

The officer raises an eyebrow and looks at Jack.
Sep 7, 2017 5:55 am
"Your Commander is dirty," Jack explains coolly, "He drew on me and attacked when he felt I'd gotten too close to the truth of it."
Sep 8, 2017 12:01 am
OOC:
That sounds like a Cool check to me, since you're actually telling the truth...mostly. Up against his Cunning which is only two purple...except for this lovely darkside point, which makes it a purple and a red. Willing to grant boosts if good argument is made, by any of you.

Doc nods as Jack finishes before chipping in "Well, it seems the evidence of your superiors guilt keeps mounting, all that remains to be seen is whether he is guilty of what we expect or something else. You said you knew 'something' was going on, again I would like to know what you meant by that?"
Sep 8, 2017 6:36 am
"There is a particular stack of crates that had the commander especially nervous when I asked about them. They're over that way," Jack says, pointing.
OOC:
Maybe use any advantages to convince them, if not of their superior's corruption, to at least check the crates that Jack mentioned?

One of the troopers steps forward, "Sir, Commondar J'cor's blaster was set to kill." She hands over two blasters to the officer, who turns them over thoughtfully.

He turns to Doc, "The Commander has been acting secretive lately, working odd hours and communicating directly with workers rather than going through the chain of command. Knowing that you were coming tonight, I decided it would be best if he was not the only one here to show you around. It looks as though I was right." He hands J'cor's blaster back to the trooper, and tosses the other to Jack.

He straightens his jacket, "Now, which crates were they?"
Sep 9, 2017 11:40 pm
Bo is still standing there stunned and unsure what to do.
"I was just following orders. You can take to my commander if you like?"
Sep 10, 2017 8:10 am
Jack slides the blaster back into his holster, attempting to not look quite as dumbfounded as he feels. He'll lead the others to the suspicious crates from before, and gesturing, he says, "He insisted they were a special shipment, above inspection."

The officer walks over to the crates and gestures to the mechanic to join him. He calls over his shoulder, "Get back on duty, and someone turn that blasted alarm off." The troopers salute and half of them jog off toward the open bay door. The rest scatter inside the warehouse, aside from two that follow the officer. One of them says, "Sir, there was one other thing. Several doors in the compound are on lockdown...and we didn't do that."
