Okay, I think I have settled on a friend-to-the-animals, old witch-type druid. I just submitted Frigga Rakankrak, Circle of the Shepherd druid.

I'll allow duergar.

Level 6 also

Oh, even better! Thank you!
Nov 10, 2020 7:13 pm
Since we are starting at 6th, how are we gearing our characters?
Nov 10, 2020 7:15 pm
Good question, @Coach! Just a FYI: I can wildshape into a Riding Horse, if someone wishes to ride *lol*

Fighter it is, I have just the character. Hannibal Budd Chiari, a gimli-esq dwarven fighter I'll whip him up today.

Just standard gear, like 2-3 weapons and normal armor for your class, nothing magical as of yet. Encumbrance isn't an issue and you all have bags of holding.

Albiofer is ready to be looked over, Hill Dwarf Arcane Trickster, procurer of lost and forgotten items. Routinely hired by several dwarven houses and guilds for his services. He's even been known to find items before their owner even knows that they are lost or forgotten.

What is your thoughs on the UA ranger Drakewarden?
It won't be UA after next week. I can share with you the Tasha's entry when I get the book available to me on DNDBeyond next week.

@DM, would you permit me to take an additional druid feature presented in Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything?

I hope it's okay if I take some liberties with backstory. I was thinking that Ulfren would know at least one of you as a familiar acquaintance, since we're from the same timeline. Nothing too personal, but just some connection so we're not all strangers.

Ulfren's normal job was as a blacksmith in a frontier outpost within the kingdom of King Thorrel Axelforge, whose domain is (or was) where we are now. I assume King Axelforge is definitely a familiar name to all of you.

Perhaps you saw a druid woman from time-to-time on the frontier. She would have traded banter with you. She is very old, and kind of kooky.

Ulfren's barbarian totem is the bear, so it's highly appropriate.

I only made a simple backstory:
[ +- ] Simple backstory
In the beginning of this campaign, Ulfren was part of an expedition tasked to journey to the island of Lord Victor Reinhel to help in the war against the orcs, so he doesn't know what happened to the dwarven kingdom after that. He left before the drow attack, but it is unclear how soon or how long after that was. He was frozen in Lord Reinhel's magic and does not know exactly how much time has passed (or if someone did tell him, he promptly forgot).

To clarify, we are in a dwarven kingdom, we don't know how long we have been statues, but long enough for several generations of dwarves to not have any identity. The drow have taken it over and presumably we were turned into statutes while fighting them?
Nov 21, 2020 5:12 pm
Seems that way.

Though, we are in our own kingdom, if that makes any difference.

Ok thanks, just wanted to make sure I understood where we were.

That would be fine, you are close to home.
