Also, for everyone's character building information, here's what I'm planning on:

Rue
Mark of Warding Dwarf
Rogue 5, Arcane Trickster

Without giving too much away, Rue is going to be Good-Aligned, and I'm tipping back and forth between Neutral and Chaotic. If people in the party lean lawful, then she'll be neutral for sure.

I'm thinking some sort of martial character for myself

I have a bard planned, for when Rue inevitably perishes.

I think I'll try an envoi warforged artificer (battle smith) wielding an infused heavy crossbow. All his attack spells will be "modified bolts". I don't suppose I could swap the Battle smith's special spells for the artillerist ?

Oh man, I remember now how badly I want to play a College of Swords Bard :O They're SO cool!

I have a ton of things that I want to play, and while I'm a firm believer that you can never have too many bards, I have other backup ideas if you want to be a whirling dervish. :)

I'm thinking of a barbarian. I cannot seem to disassociate this game from the fun Barbie memories. Whether I go half-orc or human is still up in the air!

EDIT: Well, if not barbarian, I'll stick with some kind of martial class. Maybe a monk?

I guess because I'm only a basic member of DnDBeyond, I don't have access to all the options. Creating a champion fighter still satisfies the need for rage-y melee, albeit on a smaller scale.
