Karabekian puts Marc down carefully, picks up the crowbar Marc was using, and tries to finish digging through the wall at the spot that Marc found.

As Karabekian tears down the wooden panels, he reveals a crawlspace between two wooden walls. Foul odours emanate from within and as Larry shines the flashlight across the room there's suddenly a cacophony of screeches and a flood of furry bodies surges towards Karabekian.

Bats? "Ugh. Disgusting creatures." Karabekian says, shielding his face and dodging, Occasionally swiping with the crowbar as the things stream past.

Karabekian steps aside in time as what seems like a sea of rats pour out of the crawlspace. As they see Larry's light they scatter in all directions, finding hiding places in the corners, some running past Marc and upstairs, others into the alcove Marc discovered earlier. Within seconds it's quiet again.

Karabekian steps into the room, crowbar still in hand, holding a sleeve up to his nose against the smell.

As he steps into the crawl space, he sees the thing is one big rats nest. The inner wall, also made from the same boards as the outer one is scratched some words. Larry leans and points the torch in so Karabekian can see better, revealing the words in irregular, scratchy letters, "Chapel of Contemplation"

Larry pulls out his colt, takes out some of the bullets and dips the tips in the holy water and reloads.
