Frick lays near death under the water.
Mar 31, 2017 4:25 am
Once the danger is passed, Moss hurries in the water to find Frick. When he finds him, he tries to bring him back on the edge of the platform and uses his healers kit to revive him...
You seem to like fighting. I have a deal for you, keep trouble far from me and I'll make sure to keep you alive so you can fight some more...
Turning to the others...
I don't know when we'll get to rest so if anyone needs me to check their wounds, now's the time !!
Once Moss is finished with those who needs it, he takes care of some of his own wounds.

After the fight, Ygne turns to Rygnar, blades at the ready. The dark lighting and the mist make her uncertain as to whether he's alive or recently risen, but the way that he treats Elspa is a relief. The thief relaxes, and then pivots as she realizes she cannot find Frick. He was on the other side of the mound while they were fighting, and she heard the beast striking his armor. With a bit of a panic, she surges into the water and searches around blindly for her friend. She comes up moments later, turning left and right in search, until she sees that Moss had found him. She lets out a relieved breath, and takes a quick look around to make certain that no one had seen her reaction. With a huff, Ygne then climbs the pile and goes about collecting whatever weapons she'd dropped or thrown.

"I'm fine," she says to Moss at his offer. Then something dawns on her, and a chill creeps up her spine. She, in an attempt to sound casual, asks Rygnar, "How did you get down here? Wasn't there someone guarding the way?"

Jarveena watches the newcomer warily. Another man. Thankfully, Elspa seems to know him. But how the hell did he get here? Was he on the Black Lotus? Or hss he been here for a time like this Moss fellow? So many questions. Jarveena shakes her head. Spotting one of her arrows floating in the bloody water, she slips off the platform to retrieve it. Still usable. Hopefully, won't have to so soon. "Ye think these fuckers'll rise back up? We better git movin'"

"You ol' bear!" Elspa calls out, cuffing Rygnar across the jaw. "What'd you do, swim the whole way? You're like a lost puppy!" With the reunion, she momentarily forgets the pain and exhaustion setting in.
Mar 31, 2017 6:31 am
"Fisherman brought me close then I swam to shore." Rygnar looks over Elspa, ignoring Ygne, then he calls out "Her wounds, tend to her." he doesn't take his eyes off Elspa but is very obviously responding to Moss's offer.
Mar 31, 2017 6:44 am
"Jarveena, this is Rygnar, my old packmate," says Elspa. "He was with me when I signed on t' the Sea Witch, afore we found out he didn't make the cut."

As talk turns to the corpses that come back to life, Elspa suggests, "Maybe chop off their heads. They's did that to the others that washed up, and I never see them start walking again."
Mar 31, 2017 6:50 am
Jarveena nods in acknowledgement of Rygnar. Pointing to his huge sword she says, "Tha' look'h like th' righ' tool fer choppin' 'eads"
Mar 31, 2017 7:39 am
Rygnar grunts to Jarveena, obviously only because Elspa acknowledged her. He is way ahead of Jarveena's suggestion as he hoists his sword up, unsure of where the mound's head is, he starts to just wail on it until it's upper portion is minced.
Mar 31, 2017 9:00 am
"Heeelllooo?" Ygne cups her hands over her mouth and shouts toward Rygnar. Scowling at being ignored, she gestures to the others and points at the man, "Hey, excuse me, but is no one else curious about how the hells he got in here? Shouldn't he have been stopped by our companion at the entrance?"

She pauses a moment, trying to remember the name, and then shouts, "What'd you do to Ryte, you overgrown scab?!" Ygne grits her teeth, stepping up toward Rygnar angrily. The difference in size and the ease by which Rygnar could crush her seems to either not occur to her, or not concern her. Likely it is the former.
Mar 31, 2017 10:04 am
Being alone for so long, Rygnar got used to letting his anger overtake him. At Ygne's minor "insult", he stops chopping the undead corpse, his shoulders stiffen as they flex in anticipation, his grip around his sword tightens, and his teeth grit against each other; his body language says a strike is imminent.
Mar 31, 2017 10:21 am
These signs of danger certainly do occur to Ygne. She shifts her weight to the balls of her feet, ready to spring out of the way, if need be. "What did you do?" She hisses, laying her hands across the pommel of each blade.
Mar 31, 2017 11:20 am
With Elspa vouching for him, Jarveena accepts Rygnar's strange story. But she, too, wonders what became of Ryte. If the trogs rose back up as undead here then the others back in the tunnel may have too and that may have been his doom. No matter, she doesn't need any of these men. She keeps a watchful eye from atop the platform, sweeping her gaze around the chamber. SHe nudges Moss. "There 'nuther way outta here? Other'n th' way we came in?"
Mar 31, 2017 1:09 pm
Frick coughs and sputters as he comes to, "Whoa, what happened?" he asks, looking around to see all of the enemies dead. He relaxes a bit until he sees Ygne arguing with the newcomer. Ignoring his wounds and exhaustion, he stands and walks over, glaring at Rygnar, "This guy bugging you?"
Mar 31, 2017 1:47 pm
Leading Elspa back on the platform,
Can't look at your wounds while we're in the water, now be still it won't take long...
Moss examines Elspa's body thoroughly but definitely in practiced and professional way. Then applies some poultice on the wounds most likely to infect and stiches close the biggest one...
Frick, come back here, I'm not finished with you.
Moss goes in the same motions on Frick.
OOC:
I took the liberty to assume you wouldn't object but feel free to tell me if you don't want to...

Frick allows Moss to tend to him, not taking his eyes off of Rygnar.
Mar 31, 2017 5:20 pm
Elspa's voice cuts in, deliberate and plain as stitching is applied to her body, "You seen a man back in the tunnel?" Her words are directed at Rygnar, but her eyes are on Ygne.
Mar 31, 2017 6:48 pm
Ygne doesn't seem quite so trusting of the newcomer, nor does she feel that any excuse has been given yet. Her eyes narrowed, she watches Rygnar with suspicion, still balancing light on her feet. To Frick, she replies, "Only thing buggin' me's that no one else seems concerned 'bout how this one got in here." Ygne was especially surprised, figuring she'd be the one to care the least about Ryte's well-being.

Her eyes never leave Rygnar, even as she's staring up at him. "Well?" She asks again, "You kill him?"
Mar 31, 2017 7:25 pm
Just as it looks like he's about to turn and strike, his body relaxes and he turns to Elspa, uninterested in the one yelling at him "Yes, I saw a man in the tunnel."

"He living or dead?" she asks, now standing after a nod at Moss' work. Elspa rolls her shoulder to work out the kink.
