Unbeknownst to the two-tailed trog, old one-eyed falls to the platform, twitching and spurting blood from its face. Two-tails is too busy watching as Frick and Elspa hack its beautiful pet to pieces! He screams in rage, leaps to the ground, and charges at Elspa through the water. It drops its spear and attack tooth and claw, so blind is its rage (25 / 2 = 12 damage to Elspa).

The Rapier-wielding trog gives up its hiding spot, and crawls back onto the platform. It sees Moss hiding behind the throne, and hisses in draconic:

Len sent a note to deadpool_qc
and advances, steel drawn. Moss parries the blade but its talons leave their mark (4 + 8 damage to Moss, feel free to use uncanny dodge on either attack).

Meanwhile, the shambling mound reels in the face of Frick's furious attack. Entire clumps of vines severed from its body, it manages to stabalize and counterattack. But the small target is too fast, and its massive fists miss their target!

RYTE
HypCo says:
Ryte draws his bow, silently nocking an arrow. He takes a deep breath as a somber smile creeps across his mouth Tuin man lende, tir nia ammen. Aiming to take out the leg, he releases the arrow before releasing his breath. He quickly nocks another arrow and fires it just as fast. He then makes his way to put as much distance in between him and the risen as he can.
The walking troglodyte corpses are taken by surprise. Ryte knocks down one of them, its leg muscles sloughing with the impact of the arrow. The second and third corpse's heads jerk around at impossible angles and stares at you hungrily. You manage to get a solid shot right between the eyes of the Kopesh wielder and then bolt down the gullet of the snake. The first rises as if untroubled by the loss of its calf, and all three race after you.

Jarveena continues inching along the wall, hoping to spot the trog who took Leatha's sword. The moment it shows its ugly face again she snaps her bow up to take it out but the stranger on the throne sinks his blades into the Trog, depriving her of her kill. Roaring with rage, Jarveena takes her frustration out on the shambling mound...but her shot goes wide.

The rapier-wielding troglodyte falls to the ground dead, its precious weapon clattering to the ground and rolling to the edge of the platform, tottering precariously.

Two-Tails keeps coming at Elspa, even though it's bloodied and bleeding badly, raking claws against flesh (10/2 = 5 damage).

The shambling mound takes a few more hits and stands on the edge of collapse, driven solely by its murderous rage. It manages to finally connect with Frick despite his gleeful maneuvering (10 damage).

OOC:
HypCo: If you are planning on running to the rest of the party, you don't need to do it turn-by-turn, we can just fast-forward the action to you getting there. But, if you are planning on a fighting retreat we can certainly conduct that. I've updated the round 3 post with distances to make that easier.

OOC:
Whoops, I think we skipped Ygne ... MoMo, take a double turn when you get back on.
Mar 24, 2017 3:10 pm
OOC:
No worries! If everyone is outpacing me (especially if I'm behind posting frequency), feel free to keep going. I'll never mind playing catch up if it means the game moves at an enjoyable pace for everybody. :)
Ygne bides her time, waiting for the perfect moment to attack. Of course, several of these moments slide right past, unnoticed by the normally perceptive thief, as her allies are quite able to slaughter the opposition in seconds. Still, she does join in, later if not sooner. She moves through the water, coming up behind Two-Tails as he draws back for another swing. She puts an arm under his, bending it back as she positions one blade over his throat and the other behind his neck. She twists her blades in opposite directions, splitting the lizard's throat in a gruesome display before she turns her attention to the shambling mound.

Finding a spot through all of the disgusting matter covering its mass, Ygne makes two needle-like stabs with her shortswords toward the mound.
OOC:
I'm assuming because of the roll and damage that the lizard dies, so I wrote it in like that.

Ryte calms his breathing, draws four arrows and fires them off in quick succession. He moves further back into the tunnel, stopping if he finds a beneficial choke point.

If there is a beneficial choke point I'll also drop my bow and draw my rapiers.

RYTE

Pausing to fire, Ryte gets two solid hits on Battleaxe (21/45 hp), but it doesn't even slow it down. You grab one of the lanterns on the floor and turn down the stairway, scattering some of the candles. As you turn to run again, Kopesh and Battleaxe manage to catch up to you, swinging wildly at your heels. There are no advantageous chokepoints in this damned 10-foot wide snake-like tunnel, but the sounds of water falling are getting louder.
OOC:
After taking you action surge and moving another 30 feet, Kopesh and Battleaxe will dash and get next to you. At the start of your next turn, if you choose to dash again, you will take 2 opportunity attacks. It will take 2 turns of dashing to get to the bottom of the stairs, which will mean 4 opportunity attacks (they don't get multi-attack on. Alternatively you can choose to stand your ground and fight, but that's going to start adding up to 6 and then 9 attacks per round unless you can kill them fast enough.

What does Ryte do?

EVERYONE ELSE

Ygne majestically carves through the last two dying creatures, pinpointing mortal weaknesses and gracefully stabbing them. The shambling mound stubbornly remains upright for a moment, then crashes into the bloody water with a massive splash, scattering corpses and other debris. The waterfall continues its thunderous assault on the rocks below.

Leathe's sword gleams brilliantly in the torchlight atop the platform.

What would everyone like to do?
Mar 25, 2017 5:24 am
Ryte drops his bow, pulls out his dual rapiers and takes his scorpion pose. He unleashes three quick thrusts to the battleaxe wielder.
OOC:
These rolls are going to be the death of me. ;-;

Jarveena splashes across towards the platform, intent on recovering Leatha's sword.
Mar 25, 2017 3:10 pm
Ygne stands up straight--as opposed to her typical, crouched, stalking position--and sheathes her blades with a big grin on her face. She looks awfully proud. Then something dawns on her, and she points a finger toward Moss, "So who are you?"
Mar 25, 2017 3:49 pm
You can call me Moss. Boat crashed here a few...
Moss looks to be calculating in his head
...I think it was a few months ago give or take. They found me and instead of eating me, they made me their King because of some kind of old prophesy.
Lifting my leg attached to a chain...
They wouldn't take no for an answer... Now, I don't suppose anyone has some tools to get me out of here ?
Mar 25, 2017 4:23 pm
Jarveena stops at the base of the platform and realizes that to reach the rapier she'll have to come within the stranger's striking distance. She could easily pick the manacles, free the man of his bonds, but should she? She looks at Ygne and jerks her head at the man. "What d'ye think?" she asks in Thieves' Cant.
