So... Hello there, fellow adventurers :)
What is the current party made of and what goals do you pursue at the moment? :)
Oct 23, 2018 10:57 pm
Howdy Kuroi. Welcome aboard!

We have a paladin, barbarian, sorcerer/fighter, and monk. Don't worry about the story. I'll create a thread for you and filthy to catch you up before I insert you into the game :)

@Kuroi and Filthy_Casual
Your introductory thread is up and running. Please don't forget to subscribe to The Game Forum too. It doesn't happen automatically.

Arina says:
OOC:
@Ronda: Oh that's what you meant by clutching the chest. I totally misinterpreted your action last round. I thought Ronda was clutching her chest. Whoops! The chest is pretty big. There is no way Ronda could have ripped it out from between the rocks, and dragged it to sure in 6 seconds lol. Even with a dash.
Tell you what though, we can retcon your action to disengage in which case you can ignore the AOO damage (5 points).

Also, hauling Herod out of the ocean would take your action. So I haven't counted your attack this round.

On the bright side, you don't need Tomas' help. I set the DC at 14, so even without advantage you'd make it. Also, don't you get advantage on strength checks while raging?
With advantage on Strength checks couldn't Ronda have dragged the chest partway to shore?

I'm cool with the retcon. So the chest is still in the water (and still guarded by the elementals), yeah?

I also forgot to use the Shield spell against that big hit!

Yes. The chest is still in the water. It is wedged solidly in between two rocks, so it doesn't look as though its going anywhere anytime soon. The elementals have gone but are probably still around.

The big hit was a natural 20 crit which always hits I think. Although, I'll have to check the exact wording of the shield spell to make sure.

Anyway, having a melee character with the shield spell is pretty powerful. Even more so as an ancestral guardian barbarian! Still, two crits in a row by those water elementals did some serious damage!

Nat 20 is a guaranteed hit. Nat 1 is always a miss. Regardless of bonuses.
Nov 4, 2018 6:33 pm
Oh that's right. I forgot that a Nat 20 was rolled.

FYI - Moon isn't interested in chest contents unless anything old and/or ancient-looking will appear. She would also be interested in any books, scrolls, maps and drawings.
Nov 15, 2018 7:37 pm
With Moon holding no interest in the items, that leaves 55 gold for everyone else (including the soon to part Krigare). As someone who will be increasingly more a backline combatant (and a tanky one, at that). Tomas will take one of the potions.

I'll get a post up later today.

Arina, are these pistols historical in any fashion or of fairly recent make?

Edit: Kind of funny that Heaven's Call is passing from one half elven paladin to another... There's something there, I feel. :D

The pistols look very new and beautifully made. They are probably worth a small fortune.

If no one objects, Tomas will take the pistols - not for personal use but to probably sell. I'm thinking that he's worried someone might hurt themselves by handling it improperly.

That just leaves the ruby for someone.

How did you all find the mad wizard's tower? I tried to make a dungeon which was clearly made by a weird, yet not completely crazy wizard. I don't usually do a lot of weird stuff. I hope it came across ok?

Well, we were given directions to just head south east from Berda until we saw a big old tower on the coast.

Hard to miss.

:D

I thought it was fun. It felt a little strange that we could brute force 2 of the solutions, but it made sense with the character. It was also kind of nice that I was, as a new person to the group, able to see some character personality without being in a serious situation. I think I may start a campaign in a place like this instead of a tavern some day.

That said, it's a good thing our characters have go with the flow personalities. In reality, that would have been super frustrating when you are trying to get a job done.

It was nice :)
Some trials are usually in order when asking powerful individuals' assistance :D

I found the first two challenges enjoyable. I am still confused by the third -- maybe it will be clearer to me when we all go through the barrier. And if not, well, the mad wizard has earned his reputation.

One thing: I do hope the character race changes are only temporary.

Hello everyone, just a quick note to let you all know that final exams are here, so my posting might be a little slow over the next week or so. Still, I promise to try and get my posts in!

Hi everyone! I will be joining the game, looking forward to play with you all! :)
