OOC:
If this can help you determine who should be wielding the holy symbol of ravenkind, a phylactery of faithfulness is a magic item which alerts you when you're about to take an action which would violate the dogma/ethos of your deity or religion. Very useful for clerics or paladins no wanting to inadvertently lose the blessing of their god...

"This must be the reason I was sent to this valley. I swear to use this holy symbol to cleanse this land, but I will need all of your help."
Jul 22, 2017 9:40 pm
"You will not be alone in this. There is still the matter of the sunsword which is what brought Lady Ashlyn and brother Darren to this valley. Probably another potent magic item to be used against the dar lord of these lands. Were you planning to go out for it this afternoon?"
Jul 23, 2017 9:19 pm
"Sunsword. Yesss. Undead ones hate the sun, and that may not be just a fancy name."

"I Think Rushing Into Another Conflict Before We Are At 100%Is A Fools Errand. Strand has been here for ages. Another day of recovery won't end the world."

"Hmm, perhaps. But he seems to have a plan... I'm not entirely sure what it is, but that does bothers me. Plans tend to have a timetable. And obviously, we've seen the proof that as long as Strahd is not taken care of, there will be undead attack on this village. Well, you know your limits better than I do, I suppose. If you feel taking the rest of the day off is required, then perhaps this is for the best. Hopefully, whatever timetable Strahd is on will grant us this leisure..."

"it's just my opinion. I can fight from distance and adjust if we feel time is of the essence."
Jul 24, 2017 12:27 am
"I have no opinion in that matter. I can heal everyone by noon tomorrow, but I have no injuries myself."
Jul 24, 2017 12:38 am
"I also am unhurt. But I cannot say the same for everyone."

"I feel well enough to continue on, but if we need to rest, I will not push the issue," Darren says.

"I'm still lightly bruised, but I should be fine enough for a fight should the worst comes to pass. Besides, even though there are still some minor undead threat in town, if we really need back up, perhaps Lady Ahlyn or Sir Urik can accompany us? After all, it seems the adventurers protecting town only required magical assistance."
OOC:
This is what the NPCs are for. So do not hesitate to ask help of Ashlyn or Sir Urik or even both should you require it.

"Good, then let us move on for our quest toward the sun sword. I think Sir Urik would be a good companion for this venture with us."
Jul 24, 2017 5:35 pm
The older gentleman then stands up, a breathtakingly beautiful raven swooping down from the rafters above lands on his shoulder as he makes his way towards the group. Stoping in front of Heather, he bows while taking her hand in his and kissing the back of her hand.

"I am Sir Urik, the last of the Knights of the Raven. I am honored to make your acquaintance fair lady. The raven is Hurrn, my faithful companion."

As Heather gazes upon the raven, she notices that this is not a regular raven...
Jul 25, 2017 12:37 pm
"I is an honour to meet a knight."

Heather blushes as she is unaccustomed to such fanciness. She makes an awkward attempt at a curtsie but it is clear she has no idea what she is doing.

"So, where are we going exactly?"

Weiryn will explain.

"Madam Eva spoke of an old place, one near the setting sun that predates the evil that has come on this land. A place which predates Count Strahd and his family. I guess that means there must be some ruins somewhere west of the crossroads..."

Sir Urik thinks for a moment...

"Hmm, yes, I do remember hearing some tales about that. Apparently, further west, there used to be another crossroads, one which led to land beyond this valley. It fell under disrepair several centuries ago for reasons unknown. Perhaps there were some dwellings along this old road? Those would have been swallowed up by the Svalich Woods however. We'd be going into werewolf territory..."

Ireena will chime in.

"Perhaps my brother would know more. He was groomed to succeed my father as the burgomaster after all and is well-versed in the history of the valley."

Roland will attempt to unravel the mystery of madam eva's vision as well.

Sadly, the history of this isolated valley eludes Roland, however, it seems that Sir Urik's assumption would make sense.

"Yes, I think it a good idea that we confer with Ismark," Darren agrees.
Jul 25, 2017 5:43 pm
Ujjaya's ears perk up att the mention of werewolves in the Svalich Woods. "My primary mission involves werewolves. I am on a search for a man who hunted those things but has gone missing. I fear the hunter may have become the prey. His name is Maugren, and I have promised his wife I would learn the truth of whatever fate has befallen him. Ismark did tell me about the Svalich Woods, but we have been preoccupied with the vampyr."
