we could perhaps get the jump on them and even the odds a bit, how far does your mental link extend Rasharoo? Could you call for help?

Only about 30 feet. Not a real chance to call for help, best to just rush them while they attend this "wedding" of theirs. Catch them by surprise!

They are incredibly unintelligent. Mayhaps a trap might be best dealing with so many. Cemos, what says you? Dustin, any other ideas?

Did Anders drop out of game?Jun 13, 2017 12:25 am
OOC:
Yeah, a few weeks ago he put a post up. I want to get us through this arc before we bring anyone else in. "Ander" the character is still around, however, so you can plot with him to your heart's content.Jun 13, 2017 11:39 am
then let's be about this! cemos pulls his mace close into his chest and says a prayer over the group I don't see any sense in breaking from tradition. I'll go right down the middle and hold as many as I can while you guys pick them off one by one. Focused fire and call out for help if you need it. Dumathoin be with you all. cemos starts to walk in the direction of the ceremony. As a small light opens up over his head and a single strand of hair falls from it over the dwarfs head
OOC:
before we get into combat id like to cast aid on the three of us. It gives us 5 extra hp for 8 hours. OOC:

A trap, I don't have any materials for a trap. Dustin looks around quickly to see if there is anything they might be able to use as a trap.

Looks like Cemos decided to be the bait while we use our ranged attacks. Bildaweer moves within range to use his spells.

Dustin nods and uses his hand crossbow

Cemos is bathed in a glowing light, his beard taking on new life. Dustin moves forward, sneaking into position, however, just as he raises the crossbow to let out a shot, a vision floods all of your minds.
The tableau of the mock wedding is replaced by a vision of the inside of a great tower. Spiraling stairs and balconies are carved into its walls, with the interior lit by phosphorescent patches of mold growing in whorls. In the center of the open space floats a humanoid figure, womanlike in form, but made entirely of fungi and mold. She is easily three times the height of the fungal bridesmaids that move up and down the spiraling stairs, tending to their giant mistress. They croon a strange, soothing song as they weave the substance of the giant figure into delicate lichen veils and a long, mycellium train like a bridal gown.
As the vision fades from your eyes, you see the mock ceremony, complete with the puppet Yestabrod acting as minister, has drawn to an end. They begin filing deeper into the cave, lead by the three servants carrying Yestabrod's corpse. From where the cave sits, it is likely that a path will emerge in the room with the massive mushroom you saw in the distance earlier.
Everybody please make a Wisdom saving throw.
Afterwards, Dustin, let me know if you'd still like to shoot one of the departing creatures.

The vision slips from your minds and you all are left shaking your heads slightly. You've now seen what you know to be Zuggtmoy being prepared for a grand wedding. The celebrants are marching behind the body of Yestabrod, which is being used as a puppet by three of the zombie creatures.
What do you do?
What do you do?

Dustin looks to the others, "You all saw that too ? I dont think attacking this group will hurt that creature we saw in anyway.
Jun 14, 2017 2:44 pm
No, but maybe an attack can be our objection to this wedding. Perhaps that is all we have to do - disrupt their plans so that the wedding doesn't take place.
