To clarify, a round is 6 seconds, made up of individual turns for each PC or NPC.

Jesus, 30 seconds. Battle could be over by then if we just held our breath. Do we really see a battle taking 2 minutes (aka 20 rounds?) Could we start the battle in the smoke and kind of draw the enemy back out into breathable air?
That's one of the things I'm getting at, in addition to the concept of donning the LUBA gear during battle, if needed when it seems necessary. So, we can get a krek on one of our PC's turns, but the process to begin providing oxygenated fluid would take 5 rounds.

Part of the risk and consideration here would be whether or not the fight would be over in time for just holding our breath. Are there only the two NPC's RC described within the haze? Is the King in the Box in the haze area? Or did he take off/withdraw to another area as these two NPC's cover his escape? Will we be doing an extended trip through multiple haze areas? Etc.

Bottom line is we may need kreks at a later time for an even worse scenario. Of course you have to wonder how much of a universal tactic would it be for the enemy to have dope haze in multiple chambers. Worth mentioning in all of this is that the kreks will work 100% once we contact water again. The question is when do we use their reserve fluid for that land encounter.

So yeah, it comes down to a calculated gamble if we hold our breath in there. We might be able to finish the fight and get out of the haze. Or the battle could become protracted with as of yet undetected enemies, or multiple chambers full of the haze. The King in the Box, Gorolach, is supposed to be in this main hall, but it would appear (based on RC's detection) that he might not be in there.

Also, remember we have a few (3, IIRC) spare kreks that RC and Hinka are packing.

I don't see drawing the enemy out into breathable air. Their tactics seem on the cunning end here, waiting for us to be at a disadvantage within the smoke.

That was a good round... wish I could know how many hit points the poor guy had before he got butchered beyond recognition. Just how much overkill was that?

Thorn feels Kray's hand on his shoulder... "Dude. He's dead. You can stop now."

Fuck yeah! I was considering dropping some theme music for the charge, but J nailed it with Barracuda and RC leading the way! That woman is getting it started hard core!
Haha. Ez, I got that in a different way after you said it. In my mind originally, wasn't promo for Rutcranna as the mean and deadly femme fatale, was instead a laugh at the weightlifters with barracuda faces. I saved that pic long ago, so when I posted it later - it looked a little more crazy with fish face with teeth hissing out. River monsters! BARRACUDA!

It looks like the Barracuda Strength Trainers Program is over soon. Jabes sent the above loop video - hilarious. I wonder if the PA system will switch songs over to Katy Perry when the rescue team is walking out of the smoke. In slow mo of course.

A trend is setting in, first with those other 2 guards back at the filtered water pool and now these.

Is there anywhere to hide at all? Bryn would not of walked up directly with the group he would of tried to signal Hinka tonsneak in and probably flank the group to offer a somewhat limited form of protection from one side.

Absolutely. Shadows abound.
If Bryn looks over, he notices that Hinka is already gone. He was never seen emerging from the smoke. Bryn knows that guy is already on the move somewhere. Tcho-Tchos aren't ones to wait.

Control with action and comms how/if Bryn relays this info to other characters.

Fellas,
Great entries. A lot of scene changing actions. I want to update, write results and reactions.
Busy with bombshell at work though today. May be slow, but want to do it right. Bear with me , will catch up later today.

I'm so fucking pumped for this scene J. Great job setting it up, as always.

I wait with baited breath (Partially due to hallucinogenic smoke.)

Can't take that Ivor anywhere.

Not sure if that is what you were aiming to do or not Jabes, but I'm pressing on with it either way. This stuff is confusing and hanging on a thread. Actions are going to steer the course of this along with the dice.
Well no, Ivor didn't mean to wreck everyone's plans. But J played Ivor exactly right: there was 50/50 chance (at best) of him complying with RC's command to stand down. If the order had come from Kray that might have stood a better chance.

Sorry, guys.

OOC:
Below is a picture that I want to use. It is NOT a picture of what Gorolach Son of Daolach looks like now. It was what he looked like up until about 4-5 months ago. He was a great hulking body builder warrior. He's still huge, but he has spent the last 4+ months in a small set of underground chambers, eating, getting laid, smoking and taking hallucinogens, and drinking. So now picture this plus out-of-shape fat-ass hard-living. That's your opponent.

So... the DT version of casey jones?
