Y'all, thanks for chiming in. Great to hear from everyone.

To be clear: no hard feelings on the absences. I know what it is like when Real Life is bearing down us, winning Initiative and putting us in Grappled condition.

I wanted to make a call out on the boards during the week and after the long pause, just to check to see if we were at an impasse, but I definitely want to find a way to work together and press on together - so thanks for sticking with it.

Will be working virtually nonstop over the next 48hrs. Will not be logging into GP at all for the duration.
Whew that was rough! Turned out to be more like 60hrs. But I'm back and eager to get caught up! :-)

Yo, fellas. Thanks for sticking with it and bearing through all of the confusion.

I have to admit, I'm on the proverbial edge of my figurative seat to find out what happens. This whole Episode is up in the air like Jordan at the 1988 Dunk Contest.

This week coming up is going to be BIG!!!

Good luck.

I'm covered up at work all day Monday - might not be able to get back on the boards until Monday night, but keep the input coming so the characters can SORT THIS OUT.

Failed all three saves. Pretty sure Maeriks just got everyone killed.

They can join Talius and Qiu in the swamp

Saves were different than life or death. Might explain later.
But that was still pretty cruel dice. Closed off some alternate circumstances.
Maeriks missed some chances to look a lot cooler.

DMJ, could we get an idea of everyone's position at this next little tea party? Just trying to figure out which asshole's throat is closest to Thorn.

I think of the Throne Room as a big clock.

6:00 is South: the south double door, entrance through which you guys came, the previous defense point, now completely obstructed by the great circular stone door that crashed in, destroying the one secondary wooden door that was swung open.
6:00 position outer rune circle: this is also the place where Phantom is starting and will run in

12:00 is North and the direction of the potential escape tunnel that is sealed at the end by the "Cube Door".

The Throne is in the middle of the circle. It was facing 12:00. Now it has turned 180 and is facing 6:00.

At the beginning of this, the PC and NPC crew is just south of the Throne. So that means offset from the center in the direction of the 6:00 edge. Probably half way from the Throne to the edge of the outer circle.

Sine, Casidhe, Rhone, Laoise have withdrawn back to the center near the Throne, just south of the central rise platform. Hinka is there in the center too, right beside the Throne and Rutcranna.

Maeriks was originally laid out on the Throne Rise Platform when it turned from North facing to South Facing, but he is mobile now now there at the south edge of the single stair.

2:00 position outer rune circle: Bear

10:00 position outer rune circle: Goat

6:00 position outer rune circle: Phantom

Also the 4 great cauldrons, burning healthy fires now, located at (roughly) 1:00, 5:00, 7:00, and 11:00.

----------------------------------------------
Where you guys position after that is up to you. There is time to shift around.

Doirind has already shifted to hold the middle lane from the 2:00, ready to face Big Bear.

Only about 30' radius from the Throne to the Outer Runic Circle (the "force field" where all the bad guys have been blocked from passing so far).
The central rise stair platform circle beneath the throne takes up about a 7.5' radius outward from center.
So from the ground level, base of the single stair rise outward to the outer "force field" runic circle is only about a 23' radius line. Not a lot of distance.

So just to be clear, two realities have merged, so Ivor has any resources he had at the point specified above, but ALSO has the Ulathi net that he grabbed with Boann in it. Correct?

That's right.

All material that ended up in the circle is there now.

Material that was in the circle originally but didn't make it back from the alternate reality (Doirind's spear is an example) is gone.

If Ivor crashed through the final charge with a net in hand, there is now a net there on the floor where he left it from that line.

Weird. Sci-fi. Paradoxical. But true.

Ivor was thinking about his trident when he entered the circle. And burritos. I have 'em now, right?

Papa John's pulls up. They bring out pizzas and say that you definitely placed an order. You can't really remember calling them or even pulling out your credit card at all.

At the same time, you feel that the pizza order is true. You take the pizzas and pay, knowing somehow that the tip is already included.

Yo, Jabes. I'm on a roll. I have to keep going. Eat this, bro. With all due respect. And I mean... All. Due. Respect.

----------------------------------------

Out near the chamber wall, standing next to Titan, Uthnak stabs another Glaaki slave in the abdomen. The Glaakieou's lifeblood pours out like a fount from his heart and liver. That is Uthnak's fifth kill so far.

Uthnak, school team leader of the Third Recondite Order, celebrates his fine, newly-claimed weapon. This trident is the best he has ever wielded. He is elated that he found it, just outside of the great double doors. He feels excited that he will keep this mighty weapon forever. It will serve him well both her on land as well as beneath the murky surface, in the darkness of An Tulecheo.

Without a trident, Ivor is stuck with a choice of handaxe or dagger. I'm reluctant to use a slashing weapon on a netted opponent because in my mind that's likely to damage the net. So handaxe is out, and so is that Paradox Blade. Anybody got spare spears or javelins?

Doirind will trade her short sword for a hand axe.
Not a great payday, but you can 1d6 stab the fuck out of dudes in a net.
Sep 21, 2017 8:14 pm
Maeriks has a dagger and a maul. The Ladies got his javelin, if you know what I mean.
Sep 21, 2017 8:17 pm
The Ladies love Maeriks' javelin.
Sep 21, 2017 8:33 pm
Doirind and Ivor are probably attacking the same guys though. Can you bludgeon with the back of an axe-head for 1d6?
