The answer, Bryn discovers in conversation, is geography. To the east, downriver from Gelshemish, the Jasher cuts into a very dark and narrow section of Jara Hili. The banks of the river come closer together, even as the floor becomes rocky. A long stretch of rapids is the results. No boat can pass through that section, neither east nor west.
Well shit. That means no Mercon coffer filling heists. Haha.

Fellas,

Thanks to all Players for sticking with it during this transition. I know it has been a bit weird and maybe annoying for everyone seeing continual "Note" messages on Admin as I'm working through Character Generation and narrative insert plans for new PCs. New players might be getting tired of all the back and forth on PM and Note function, and also might be getting worn out by all of the prep. I know I'm a psycho for background framing and realism on narrative, but bear with me just a little longer. I think we are very close to pulling this all together. During the coming week, I think (hope!) that we can all see some stabilization and maybe get our feet off the ground with a full 8-Player Roster.

Hopefully it will be worth it as these new characters come onto the scene with a bang, bringing with them some genuine gravity, a real place in the story, and also some strong history that explains why they are LEGIT.

For PCs already underway, you have a strong momentum built up and already some history, some together and some apart. Your story, I think, will begin to influence these new guys right away. And maybe vice versa. In any case, as always, it was fun to see the character choices. You can never call it ahead of time what everyone will do. A great dose of chaos incoming I think, which is my favorite thing about the game.

Now more than ever, I have no idea how Episode 2 will turn out. But I'm sure it is going to be a great ride.

Good luck, and thanks again!

Gelshemish is eternal!

Looking forward to it J. I'll tend to those last few items and roll with it as we start. Take your time. Honestly, I'm not sure how you find the time for so much attention to detail, you must be a time management god.

Kray could give a shit less about Mercon coffers for the time being. Just going to go back and take the whole thing over one day.

Just own the coffers after killing 'em all and letting God sort em out (meaning House Mercon vipers waiting like snakes in the grass).

I'm certain Kray will find a way to come back with his own army in time. He's a damn warlord, after all.

I used the Mercon family name, but I definitely didn’t mean filling the family vault. When Kray makes his way on the warpath Bryn will be there to melt faces just like in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Thanks, Len. I've always lived life in sleep deprivation, so it's pretty easy to keep the game going. ;)

More secret notes for you...

Just read this again. Melting faces is where it's at. Great scene. Love those movies. Except Crystal Skull. That was just... meh.

I've often thought the same thing!

When I watched the Crystal Skull I was outraged. Similar to J’s love of the new Star Wars.

I’m not sure why they went the alien route for Indiana Jones...

I think they were linking archaeology to the 'Ancient Aliens' documentaries. Interesting theories, but they're just theories. Indy was way cooler before they brought aliens into it.

Saw a documentary a year or two ago. Temple of Doom is actually based on some real crap when it comes to those stones that grant power. I like the ToD setting the most out of the movies, but I still like Raiders the most.

And the new Star Wars... I liked Rogue One, but the other new movies... meh. Haven't even seen the newest one. That says something right there.
