I just tossed all of the latest posts out because I had time. I'm probably done for the day now though.
As always, boards are open but also no pressure to monitor or respond here during the weekend downtime. We can catch up tomorrow and into the week.

Guys, I'm really sad about this, but it's obvious I can't keep up with the speed of this game. Every time a check I feel I'm lagging behind ever more then the last time, so I'll withdraw from this :(

Dang. Hate to hear this, Greenvoid. I feel responsible for sending too much of a tornado, so I apologize. I'm definitely up for doing whatever I can on pulling it together. I think we are heading towards a streamline of story, so if you are game for giving it another try I'll aim for better management and pacing.

On the other hand, I can accept if you would prefer to just fade away. If so, I won't badger you about it and instead would say thank you for trying it out. Apologies again for any of my shortcomings managing the game, and lastly good luck. Would love to stay in touch for any future cooperation.

J, aside from what Kray has told Bryn about Trece and spaghetti head monster, does Bryn feel like he can trust this guy? Especially with going into a very precarious situation he wants to feel confident being able to lean on him if need be.

Will speak plainly: GV's departure has me concerned. I don't want to run good players away from the game.

I know it has been a lot getting the new PCs inserted in a thick storyline already underway, so I really appreciate your patience and don't take it for granted. I think we've gained a lot of ground, and I look forward to some change of pace and commonality of purpose that I think we are right on the brink of right now.

I want to do what I can to avoid any other attrition, so let me know, here on Admin or definitely by PM if you need more privacy, if you have any complaints, concerns, advice about things that I can do better. At the same time, if it is working out well enough, would love to hear that too.

I mentioned before that in this medium, I feel like the biggest DM challenges are:
1) communicating clearly, knowing how everything is being received,
2) balancing the right pace to promote a steady flowing game that is forward-leaning but doesn't make everyone feel overwhelmed or left behind

I'm still working on these and other management techniques, screwing up a lot along the way but trying to improve, so thanks for bearing with me.

I really like this team of players and all of the characters very much. I hope to stick together.

I guess trust in your business is always a gamble, but I would suggest that Bryn has heard a load of detail about the Seetan group now. Kray, Thorn, Gibon spent most of the day yesterday hanging out at the tea shop with Ra u nak and Trece. Gibon is a HUGE fan of Trece, talks about him quite a bit and seems like that punch attack that Trece laid onto that monster really knocked Gibon's proverbial socks off (maybe I should say "knocked sandals off"?).

Bryn has also met Trece directly and spoken in the group for quite some time this evening earlier.

Lastly, I might point to the cultural idea of the Honor Among Thieves Code that might be, I think, an influence here. Worth reviewing if you have time, and it doesn't just have to apply to strictly Rogue Thief characters of course.

Bryn I think can see that he is off on a pilfering mission and just got helped and met up with by another faction that seems to also have something to offer in an outside-of-the-law manner. A couple of fellow experts. Similar to Bryn making connections with Hinka and later the other interlude during Interim 1, Bryn might understand and be open to the idea of bringing fellow expert into the heist.

I have read it before. That’s what made me second guess pickpocketing Kray bahahaha. That feels like a lifetime ago. Then one thing that I had forgotten about was at the bottom. Will not take employment as an assassin. Shit. Hahah

Seriously though (on this not serious topic), full-out professional assassins definitely have a different feel and reputation across the world. They are much much darker and once someone has a reputation as being an assassin, it is difficult to shake and could start influencing who will work with and cooperate with them. Of course, the assassin may not care. He/she just wants to work with a paying employer. Assassins usually have a more "go it alone" type professionalism. As seen, there is no Assassin Code of Honor and no real pervasive culture of support for them on a wider scale. Thieves are sort of celebrated as heroes or exciting professionals on the other hand. They enjoy some real fanfare in some circles, even though (because?) the wealthy and those in authority may despise thieves.

Because there are some similarities between thieves and assassins on stealth, deception, ingenuity, boldness, thieves do historically try to consciously set themselves apart from their more murderous counterparts.

As Yashub was my primary link in the game, I'm looking forward to see how J shakes it up and get my character on track. I know how much work you're doing here J to get all these tracks to line up, and I have faith it'll turn out great.
