I'm still on travel. Probably back with disposable time later this week, but it may be the end of the week before I can stabilize into real game posting.

Thanks for all of the comms above. I'm looking forward to getting this show on the road! I think it is going to be Strange Tales of Mystery Action Theatre! when the cameras start rolling again.

Players' Club! What's up, fellas?!
Thanks for your patience with me. I got really walloped at work during the week and stumbled to get stabilized more than I had expected.

I tried to get Ep 2 cranked up again. A few clunky mechanics and commentary posts starting here.

Since we have been on the break, hoping to take a short moment today/this weekend/Monday to do a sort of "roll call" so that we can see who is active on the roster as we move forward.

A couple of things I know (or I think I know): Jabes and Len are probably out for the weekend.

So if you are out there and want to sound off this weekend, I'm all for it. If not, I feel like this can also be a frame-up for launching back into regular pace during the week starting Monday, and we'll see if everyone can reactivate by that time.

I'll be sort of in and out Saturday and Sunday. I plan to send in more posts later to get a slow burn going as everyone (hopefully) trickles in.

Again, I hope you guys are doing well, and I appreciate all of the comms in the break and for you guys sticking with the game. I look forward to seeing what comes next in the story.

I'm coming at this post with heavy heart but I have to get right to it:
I'm facing some extreme pressure in RL. I hate it, but I've got to cut out leisure and distractions - and that means I have to go quite abruptly on hiatus.

I am in the middle of a major project at work that is pretty close to do-or-die for my company. I have to be on my absolute A-game on productivity, responsiveness, and attention - a lot of people counting on me and a lot of people watching (allies and competitors both I guess). No matter how hard I try to let it not be so, I love D&D, DT, and hanging out with you guys so much that it is a distraction that gets me side-tracked. Completely my fault, but I have to face it. The bad thing is, I have trouble "gearing down" from the game. I drift off to writing and gaming when I need to be working.

I also have some family issues to attend to. My younger son is leaving for college next month. Tough days in the marriage that I'm trying to work out of. Some health topics I need to address that are quite serious. Yes, I'm getting too personal - but I'm sharing to let you know that I'm stepping away for some real challenges and not just flaking out and quitting arbitrarily, or for any reasons of frustration about the game.

I'm sincerely sorry that the gaming and camaraderie has to be the casualty in all of this. You guys are great to talk to and write stories with and mix in comedy. I know that we don't REALLY know each other, but it doesn't change the fact that I think of you guys as friends. I have had an absolute BLAST rocking the DT scene with you guys for as long as we have. I love the characters very much as well. It is SUCH a pleasure to me to game with this crew.

I hope I can come back at some point. I am leaving the game boards up as they are. There is a chance that I can wrap up the most high stakes of my work obligations somewhere around the middle of September. I plan to reassess then and see what is possible. If there is a way that I can reboot, I will reach out directly to you guys to see where you are and see what might be possible for you also.

Until then, I've got to sign off and sign off hard. Forgive me for going dark and out of comms like this. I regret it but it has to be done for now.

I just wanted to drop a quick note on Admin here after 40 days in the wilderness and give an update.

I've gained some ground on reg life and work demands, but still have a way to go. One thing that I can see now though is a (tentative) end date on one of my big work projects. Now that a major solicitation has been released, I can see that I'll be wrapping up one of my most important writing assignments of all time on 15 October.
Bad news: until then I'm covered up entirely.
Good news: after that I should be able to start getting serious about a way back into Dark Thrones World.

So it's still a while to go I guess, but I'm really serious about firing up the Bronze Age forge again and banging out some sword and sandals creepy fight scenes and edgy dialogues with you guys if you are still up for putting in some work with me.

I've used my time away wisely and can't deny that it was a good move to take a break from the hobby, but I've really missed hanging out with you guys on the boards, missing the creative outlet, missing the comedy and sidebar exchange, missing the stories and threads about your PCs. I hope to recommit upon return and bring the best I can in game management - hopefully capitalize on some fresh air and new ideas gathered during time away.

I hope you guys are doing well on a personal level and enjoying the summer. Hope all of the households are in order, loved ones are happy and healthy, work is fulfilling and squared away, etc. And if not, I still wish you well and hope you are doing as best as you can in the life game and keeping up the good fight.

So, I can't do much more on comms than this for a bit longer, but I have all intentions of getting back in touch with you guys directly in the latter half of October.

Hopefully we can get the band back together for another tour through pulp fiction haunted palace!

Yo, fellas. I'm about to break through to the other side of this work gauntlet. Triumphant or defeated I'm not sure yet, but either way I'm shooting for a return to regular life AND to escapism. Do you guys still play the Roleplaying Game Dungeons and Dragons?

I think I'll be able to get on the boards this weekend - just on Admin, throw out some ideas.

I'M STOKED!

Finished up work this weekend, so I'm in on starting the DT Restoration Project tomorrow night (15 Oct) -- Hope you guys can make it!

I'm still going to be a little slow on the start. Going forward, I'm only going to be able to post during early mornings and late evenings (US EST). And to set the right pace as something sustainable, I'm thinking 3 or 4 days a week is what I can commit to. Reasonable?

This week I'll review and put up one or two refresher posts to frame up the scene, try to offer a launch point to restart Episode 2.

I'll be listening/watching for confirmation on who's out there. Will adjust accordingly if some of the crew can't return.

I've decided I won't be coming along with you. Sorry guys. You got a good thing going, and I hope it continues for years to come. And despite admiring how awesome it was, I don't think I ever quite found my place in it, and that's nobody's fault. I did enjoy my time in your world and appreciated the gargantuan efforts and creativity you pour into this world.

As my last act, I'm turning those cold iron daggers over to Bryn.
