You guys drank the MBV Tea at 2pm.
2p - 10p is the rough timeframe of Dose 1.
From 2p - 3p was the Advantage on INT/WIS/CHA Saves.
From 3p - 10p you get +1 on INT/WIS/CHA Saves.

Anytime before 10p, you (Thorn, Bryn, Kray, Maeriks) can elect to drink Dose 2 from your to-go cup thermos. Ha!
Whenever you drink Dose 2, you have Advantage on INT/WIS/CHA Saves for 1 hour.
Then you have +1 Saves for 7 more hours after that.

Infil time was after sunset at nightfall. It's summer (7 Mossauron on Nadrilian-Yuoric Calendar is equivalent to 2 July RL), so say that was 8:30 pm. (Haha! I just Googled "sunset time in Jerusalem on 2 July". It said 7:49pm)

With trap room, the struggle after, then the sprint upstairs to get downstairs, then the rest, some waiting time, and the medical attention, now the talking.

Umm...there's been a mistake. Iasu doesn't speak Dannein. So far he has been heard speaking in Heshbaan, Yuoric, and Otessite. I will tell you he speaks a couple of other tongues but Dannein isn't one of them.

Sorry, Jabes and CB. Looks like that is my fault. I thought I was following another mention of it, but I didn't check and can now see that I perpetuated my own mistake.

We can adjust. Maeriks speaks at least Intermediate Yuoric now. He lived in Poyam (Jeresian Port city) for months after Episode 1 and then was fully integrated with Jeresian forces in war for months to follow. The main language throughout that time spoken by all (including Pyloseans, Arkkadis, and even some Heshbaans) was Yuoric.

So the translation from Iasu to Maeriks would have gone through Yuoric.

Jabes is correct (and Maeriks too in what he said) that it would have been nearly impossible for someone of Iasu's background to have learned Dannein.

CB, if you don't have it on the sheet already, add that Maeriks has at least Intermediate Yuoric language. I'm sure he prefers speaking Dannein, and probably Kray, Bryn, Thorn, etc. speak that with him plenty so that he can maximize comms, but he can get along well enough in Yuoric.

It's all good, guys! What Maeriks initiated with Iasu would have been a fun interaction and I would absolutely have jumped on that if only there was actually something there.

CB raised a good point though: In my headcanon I imagine the Hechesi accent being slightly different from Gelshemish Heshbaan, though I realize now J never said anything of the sort. Kinda makes sense to me though, and makes for a convenient way tease a reveal of Iasu's background.

Nah, Jabes. You're not wrong. Exactly right in fact. Hechesi (sometimes called "the forest people") do have their own dialect, a different brand of Heshbaan. Many can convert the way they talk to communicate effectively to normal Gelshemish Heshbaan, but they can easily shift into their own speech patterns, pronunciations, and vocabulary that makes it nearly impossible for even a fluent speaker in classic Heshbaan to follow, unless they are experienced with communicating to Hechesi frequently or live in Hechesi communities.

And please lead the way on establishing the "Hechesi style". Iasu will be the iconic representative of a sub- sub-race!

I apologize for my absence. I've been trying to post but having problems with the site. I seem to be back, but the site is extremely slow. Not sure if it is just me. The past two days were more than just slow, it's made it impossible to post. Regardless, I apologize for my silence.

Oh man, me too my notification emails have been out of whack for a while and the site has been very slow for me.

The site has been having some major problems the past couple of weeks. It's been getting hammered by spambots, and although Keleth has been very vigilant the server is just getting overloaded. I do hope these issues get resolved soon.

DAMN, CB! This is grade-A shit! I'm sorry, that was a secret note but it's just too damn good not to share!

So much good stuff in the secret notes, and unless it's a huge plot point, unlikely to be read by any but those involved. I wish we could all scrap the secret notes and take an oath to never metagame, just so that we could read all of it!

Thanks Jabes! No worries about opening the door to the restroom so everyone can see my shit. I'm happy to share. X has a good point - much of the time secret stuff doesn't really need to be. But, there is also something to be said about being honestly surprised. Having stuff build up and then suddenly all make sense at once is a pretty good moment to have when it does happen.

Hell, I was just telling DMJ about how cool it was about that one thing when that stuff happened then later those things and it all hit me and I was like, wow.
