Admin, OOC, and Launch Discussion

I reached out to Keleth and *almost* was able to get on and troubleshoot with him. He texted me saying he was sitting down to look at it. I then finished a fight with my wife, got the kids fed and put to bed, then texted him. He let me know he was fighting with his GF and couldn't work on it at the moment. Lolz

Y'all, I've been wrestling to try to get on and post, but wasting a lot of time waiting for screens and frustration levels high because of some lost posts. I'm short on time during this work week, so I'm not going to be able to keep at it with GP on the ropes.

I'm not trying to suspend the game or anything, but I'm going to sit the sidelines until it's confirmed that the site is operational again, and then I'll get back at it.

In case things go really bad and the site doesn't recover, I'm posting here my login/username for a couple of alternate comms in case we have to go to survival mode elsewhere:

And friend of mine used to use RPGcrossing for our solo game, but we recently switched to discord and it works quite well. We found a bot that allows you to roll and set up macros for different combinations. You can also ask it to create NPCs with quirks or create "rumours" and plot hooks. It has been fun to toy with.

Thanks Ox. I think everyone should take a couple classes on programming. It's a universal tool.

Similarly, I think everyone should also take a class on wood working, metal working, graphic design, electronics, cooking, and auto shop. When you learn how stuff is done, you end up doing more yourself or at least appreciating the work that goes into it when some else does it.

What are the Initiative bonuses for Ahri and Isau?

I think +4 and +5 on quick glance, but those guys may need to weigh in with additional powers/abilities that might influence if the roll is close.

Oh man, I forgot the details on how we do initiative! It was the average bonus or something like that +1d10, right?

You were right on the above. In this case, we need to use the number that does NOT include Bryn since he is not involved. Still a decisive win for the PCs in this encounter.

I updated the HR notes as suggested.

As mentioned in past discussions, I know this rule has some real weaknesses and isn't entirely fair. We're using it strictly for it's primary strengths: accommodating realities of PBP and avoiding delays of waiting on Players to post in a certain sequence.
