Xorthan says:

I tried typing out a circle of initials for our cluster, but Gamers Plane didn't like that. Starting with Hinka, and going clockwise, I'm envisioning H, K, R, I, M, B, T.[/color]
I'm working from this, but with the twist of NPCs not quite following directions.
Hinka ducks down sort of underneath everyone - completely out of the mix on a circular stance.
Rutcranna tucks to the middle and low also, hiding mostly behind Thorn. She is reachable by opponents, but not by as many, because of her inner positioning.

So the circle is pretty much the PCs: Kray, Ivor, Maeriks, Bryn, Thorn (back around again of course - Thorn beside Kray).

I'll come back to this after opponent Attacks so that we can have a clear understanding on TR2 about how you can pick target options.

OOC:
I think I need to hear 1 Grapple Resist roll from Kray to wrap up Round 1.

After that, Top of Round 2 (TR2) is open for business, first come first served.

When picking opponents this round, because of the absolute flood and clutter of opponents directly matched with each PC, the only targets available to each PC are the ones who attacked that PC directly in BR2.

With possible sneaky exception of Bryn. Carving out a narrow window for Sneak Attack. Sneak Attack could apply by picking an adjacent Javelin launch target, which would have to be an opponent of an ally to the immediate left (Maeriks) or right (Thorn), or Rutcranna's opponent.

As one of the Deep Ones slides its spear past Thorn and at the woman close behind him, Thorn takes advantage of its extended position and reacts instantly, thrusting his own spear at it, opening himself up to a sword and two spears from three of the other Deep Ones closing in.
OOC:
I'm assuming the creature that attacked Rutcranna is within 5 feet of Thorn in order to use Sentinel here. (Also that the Deep One doesn't have the Sentinel feat.)

Thorn

Reaction Attack, via Sentinel, Javelin vs. DO5: Hit

Focusing on stabbing the woman in the center of the formation, the Deep One let's his guard down slightly and fails to defend Thorn's quick javelin thrust.
OOC:
Also, you're previous Teacher's Pet insistence to turn the rules on yourself about that Ready Action ended up not costing a thing I guess. Reaction was left intact by NOT doing Ready, available for use now with Sentinel OA. Does that motivate you to keep on finding ways to self-penalize? haha.

As one of the Deep Ones gets in close Kray shifts to the side then pushes off with his legs, upwards and away from his foe's clawed reach. Suspended above the silt floor for a moment, he comes back down, seeking to punish the would be grappler.

All opponents missed, grapple resisted. Kray returns fire on DO3 with his Falcata and Mozamyah Knife. The Falcata counts as a short sword stats wise, the Moz-Knife a dagger, avoiding Disadvantage for underwater combat.

11 damage total to DO3.

Kray

Confirmed. No Grapple condition. Both Attacks: Hit against DO3.

The Deep One cringes back from Kray's stabbing blades, recoiling from their sting.
Jun 28, 2017 2:22 pm
As the Deep Ones surge forward and flail at him, Ivor manages to dodge all but one attack: a claw nicks his shoulder but he shrugs it off and punishes the fish-man that already tasted his trident just moments earlier. Ivor then casts his net expertly, and the injured Deep One finds itself entangled. Once more, Ivor thrusts savagely with his trident, and again finds flesh.
OOC:
The sequence is: Reaction Riposte vs DO6 > Net attack, Trident attack. Got the attack bonus wrong on the Trident attack (leftover from when I thought my Proficiency Bonus was +2) but I think that's a hit anyway.

Trident Attack: Hit
(All vs. DO6)

Ivor's first strike barely misses the mark, but after the injured Deep One is wrapped up in the net, it is an easy target. Ivor stabs the barbs of his trident into the Deep One's neck and upper chest, tearing its jugular and upper aorta. Thick blood erupts into the water, darkening the scene. The Deep One is soon dead in the net, though the others keep striving to gain an advantage.

From the churning silt billowing up in the floor, a javelin launches straight up and plunges into the Deep One who had attacked Rutcranna. The bolt slides into the creature at the crotch and plunges in the full length, completely disappearing inside the Deep One's torso.

The Deep One crumbles in agony, drifting and shaking as it dies.

Ouch. Thorn feels the surging attacks of three of these creatures as he defends Rutcranna against the fourth, and he turns his attention to them, albeit hanging back slightly to avoid more of their strikes.

TR2 I'm switching +1 from Thorn's Attack Bonus to his AC. Then hitting DO13 with the first attack. If it's still alive, hit it with the second attack, otherwise going for DO14 who, thanks to DMJ's transparency, appears to be rocking a higher damage die on its spear than DO15.

Javelin Attack 1 & 2: Miss

Both of Thorn's javelin thrusts surge past the elusive Deep Ones. The creatures seem emboldened and continue to swarm in with their spears and blades lashing outward.
Jun 29, 2017 12:39 am
OOC:
Spear and sword hit, 11 damage. Claw avoided.
A pair of Deep Ones swim in quickly toward Maeriks. He parries and dodges their strikes awkwardly receiving a hairline gash across the ribs from the spear and a painful bruise from the flat of the short sword as he parried the thrust forcefully down into his thigh. He then shifts back just slightly, avoiding a clawed hand and thrusts the javelin at the sword bearing Deep One.
OOC:

Assuming the attack against DO10 was a hit. (Or, as I like to call him, "deep eleven ohh", because that's what she said.)
Burning Maeriks' action surge.
Renewing his attack against the Deep One, Maeriks thrusts again.
OOC:
Don't-Tcho know, Maeriks got lucky and dealt 19 damage to DO10
Leaving the javelin in the Deep One's gut, Maeriks grabs the thing's short sword.

TR2

Attack 1, Javelin: Hit
Action Surge, Javelin: Initial miss, Hit on Reroll

It takes all of the Deep One's effort to shift out of the way of Maeriks first dangerous stab, but the creature's luck runs out when Maeriks surges forward with another upward thrust of the javelin. The weapon penetrates just under the sternum and dives deep under the rib cage, ripping the heart. The Deep One crumples over the javelin shaft and is lifted up as Maeriks continues through with the motion. When Maeriks rips the javelin back down, the dying creature's lungs are torn and it's body is left hanging high up in the water above Maerik's head.
