Kray looks briefly to his right, noticing the stress that has suddenly befallen Rutcranna. Shaking, and now bleeding heavily from her nose, she says one word. "Ready."
Without warning, the central shield bearer falls forward. It is a pregnant Dannein woman. She lets out a cry of pain as she topples headlong down the stairs. Her great shield hits the floor with a crash, and she falls heavily and limp atop of it.
A line of site to Gorolach is cleared.
The monstrous man clutches a little red headed girl in one of his massive hands. In the other hand he holds a short sword sized blade, pointing at the girl.
Suddenly he becomes rigid, as if paralyzed.
The little girl tears free of his hand and dives to the ground.
Kray looses the arrow. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Rutcranna fall to the ground.

Below is a picture that I want to use. It is NOT a picture of what Gorolach Son of Daolach looks like now. It was what he looked like up until about 4-5 months ago. He was a great hulking body builder warrior. He's still huge, but he has spent the last 4+ months in a small set of underground chambers, eating, getting laid, smoking and taking hallucinogens, and drinking. So now picture this plus out-of-shape fat-ass hard-living. That's your opponent.

Spacing and Positioning Details
Focus on the raised platform:...
where Gorolach stands encircled by 3 female shieldbearers. There is a large chair there as well. Along with Rhone.
Shieldbearer middle: Fodla. Has fallen forward onto the stairs. Appears to be out.
Shieldbearer left (central party's left, as they look at Gorolach): Documa. Stands with shield.
Shieldbearer right: Elva. Stands with shield.
Rhone has ducked out to the right (her left), disappearing behind Elva.
Center Main Party (CMP):
From L to R: Thorn, Kray, Rutcranna standing 50' away from Gorolach.
From here, Kray fired the shot. Rutcranna falls to the floor.
Position of CMP +10':
Maeriks. He stepped forward to give challenge.
40' from Gorolach
Position of CMP +20':
Ivor. He stalked up, trying to get closer, got part of the way there and then Gorolach/Rutcranna called Action!
30' from Gorolach.
Ivor is offset slightly to the right from the CMP, walking up from his original position on the right wing.
Position of CMP +25':
Jilleen. 16 year old Dannein girl who ran and tripped carrying the treasure box. Lying face down prone as previously commanded.
25' from Gorolach.
Ahead of her, from her going forward to the base of the stairs leading up to the dais, a floor covered with coins and treasures scattered all about. The open wooden box also lies tipped on its side in the mix.
Position of CMP +35':
Base of the broad stairs that lead up to the raised platform.
They rise only 4', over a course of 10'.
Difficult Terrain going up. Normal movement coming down.
Rake Overwatch Position:
Brynn made it to the last position of cover and concealment undetected.
40' from Gorolach.
At a Left angle from the onlookers at the CMP.
To the Right and slightly back from vantage point of the Opponents looking outward to the CMP from the raised platform.
Cover behind a shelf and cabinet that contains pottery of liquors, wines, and a has a flat open shelf with long straight corral pipes lying on top, and big brick wads of smoke weed wrapped in large leaves.
Assembly of Women:
Offset to the right of the CMP. Well out of the way.
Includes Boanna and a half dozen other women/girls, a few pregnant.

Attack with Arrow: Hit.
Kray's arrow sails out right when the shield falls and Gorolach becomes visible.
Gorolach stands motionless for a fleeting moment. The arrow slams into his forearm.
The big man jolts back to life, but drops his poisoned blade. He looks down at the arrow, still offset impaled in his arm, very brielfly. Then he stairs forward. No expression from his bone mask helmet, only the image of some unknown creature's skull.
With little delay, he lets out a roar of rage and leaps into action.
Opponent wins Initiative and controls Top of Round 1.

Gorolach lets out a roar and grabs javelins from a nearby pot, prestaged for draw and throw. He hurls them in rapid succession at Ivor.
In between throws, Gorolach jerks the body shield out of Elva's hand and takes it in his left hand.

The shield torn from her hand, pregnant Elva, a woman of over 30, falls to the side in fear and begins to crawl down the stairs.
Documa, also pregnant, an athletic and attractive dark-haired woman in her late 20s, moves up to the side of Gorolach. She puts the shield forward, scanning for danger, protecting her man, gladius in hand - a true shieldbearer.
At this moment, delivering a drugged-out fat overweight sweaty dirt-bag killing machine barbarian, protected by a hot pregnant fighter/barbarian shield bearer with tits about to pop out of her tight tank top. Both opponents fighting to the death, in a depressing half-submerged ziggurat, with an impending arrival of fish-men, giant alligators, barbarian zombies, and telepathic slug monsters, and everyone in the room either barefoot or wearing sandals.
Bros, can I get a quick head nod to our 6-man team, who have built pure Dark Thrones PULP right now?

Brynn has a clear line of sight. At the moment he seems to be yet unnoticed. But if he attacks, will still have to fire against an actively fighting set of targets, scanning the battlefield, wielding large shields.OOC:

Before I drop narrative on this, Sorcha is a red-head, right? J, you described the girl being held by Gorolach as "black headed." Am I pulling too much from this, or did Kray actually notice that the girl being held by Gor doesn't match the red-head description (whic I believe was confrimed by Rutcranna).
