Looking at his new tattoos, Moss covers them as best as he can with his clothes and puts the book in his backpack. Moss then silently turns around without a word, a feeling that he somehow doesn't need to say any to Zilla, and gets out. On the beach, he goes back towards the village, hopping that Elspa and her guard dog are already there with whats left of the group...

I believe, going off CancerMan's post, we are at that pile of bodies. Also in regards to that post, Rygnar only suggested to go to the village to get free food so they wouldn't have to use their rations.

Ygne clears her throat, idly rubbing at her neck. With a sniff, she mutters, "I don't feel much trapped. This 'god' have a boat? That's all I see keeping us here." Ygne makes a serious of wet, clicking sounds with her tongue against the roof of her mouth as she considers it some more. "More importantly, how'm I gettin' coin offa this?" She asks, deathly serious, after a moment.

"Mebbe th' villagers'll be so happy ye set their souls free, they'll gift ye wi' 'em magic sticks." Jarveena says dryly.

After a few moments something occurs to her. "Elspa, was it Khiva that tole ye 'bout this pearl? How come they never smashed it themselves if they knew 'bout it?

Ygne shrugs, "That isn't a bad idea. If this damn thing works, it might actually sell nicely back home." Ygne pats the twig fetish in her belt pouch. "I'd need to set up a deal with Khiva about it, though," Ygne says slowly, considering it.
May 29, 2017 12:06 pm
"Elspa was tasked to destroy it, if you plan not to help in doing so stay here. If you plan on telling Khiva about this, don't, my sword will find your throat quicker than your words do; there is a reason we are not talking in the village." While there is still anger in his tone while talking at Ygne, it isn't the amount of anger you'd expect for someone who was intent on ending her life moments ago.
May 29, 2017 12:24 pm
Jarveena scratches her head. "I doan get it. If it wadn't Khiva that tole ye then who? An' why th' secret? Ain' freein' souls a good thing?"
May 29, 2017 12:33 pm
Rygnar faces Jarveena, his voice void of any anger now "The god, as Elspa said; where I wished for your safety,
she wished to make the dead stop from rising. A good thing for us, they think the opposite."
May 29, 2017 12:55 pm
Ygne rolls her eyes at Rygnar, "Settle down, Muscles, 'fore ya embarrass yourself again." She then shrugs, looking back to Elspa, "But I don't get it. Were you tasked, or were you just given an answer to your wish? We could just not do it, yeah? Khiva and her sort have been here a good while longer than we have. Don't they probably know best about their own island?"

"And, most importantly, how do I get a wish? We didn't get fuck all for our efforts, last night." Ygne mutters, "'Cept breakfast. And that ain't worth the bolt thrower I lost."
May 29, 2017 12:57 pm
Jarveena's scarred face is still racked by confusion. She shakes her head. "Whatever. Fuck th' villagers. I doan wan' my soul or body trapped on this bloody turd of an isle, so count me in!" As she keeps trying to wrap her mind around all the strangeness, one thing finally clicks into place: it was Rygnar that saved her. If not for him she'd be dead -- or worse, she'd be one of those undead things. She stops and turns to face the hulk of a man. He's still a man, Jarveena. Will want something in return. Can't be trusted. The look on her face as she turns is almost soft, almost gratitude, before it hardens back into the familiar scowl. She turns again and keeps walking, leaving everything unsaid.

On his way back to the town, Moss spots a group of people down the beach. Not knowing yet who they are or what they are doing there, he doesn't take any chances and goes near the tree line to hide and sneak on them, until he can identify them. It's also a good occasion to test some of his new powers....
OOC:
Bonus action to focus on Nomadic Chameleon and then hide. Feel free to try and spot me before I arrive :)

Rolls

Stealth (advantage) - (1d20+10, 1d20+10)

1d20+10 : (12) + 10 = 22

1d20+10 : (20) + 10 = 30

Ygne stares at Jarveena as she walks away with a somewhat baffled expression, "But that's what I'm saying. How d'ya know you're trapped?" She mutters after she's gone, "I don't rightly feel trapped."

Sorry Moss, I acknowledge the high stealth roll but it's not possible to hide unless you can turn invisible in this situation. I can't read the Mystic pdf from work, so I'm not sure on the definition of the ability. Technically the terrain around the base of the stairs is completely cleared of debris; it's like trying to sneak passed a guard in the middle of a long, well-lit hallway with no cover. No matter how well you roll, it cannot succeed unless you are turning invisible.

Even if you aren't turning invisible, I feel like this is a buzz-kill on a 30 stealth roll that is entirely for RP purposes, so I'll let it fall upon each player to decided if their character sees you or not. You don't have to declare this OOC or anything, just build it into the way you react to Moss. No mechanical benefit can stem from failing to see Moss (ie - surprise round with assassinate or something) but it's fine to include for RP purposes. Personally, I think it is a fun way to tip off people that Moss is different somehow, or to further his mysterious vibe.

Lol! You know what, just because I don't want to waste a nice 30 stealth roll, even if just for RP reasons, I'll get as near as I can and activate "Chameleon" and then dash 30ft and move 30ft to "appear" as near as I can to the group. Would that work ?
Psi points left would be 2/4

Yup, sounds good. I'll download the Mystic class tonight and give it a good read-through again, and at least have a local copy on my work computer from now on.

"As much as I love almost dyin', I'd be happy to get off this island. Not nearly enough booze here," Frick says, "And it sounds like it'd be fun to try to kill a god, though I don't know how I'd top that later."

As Moss appears from nowhere, Frick spins his staff and takes two steps forward and is already swinging it before he realizes who showed up. When he realizes, he stops the attack, "Damn Moss, give a guy some warning! I almost cracked your skull and I ain't as good a healer as you."

A rare smile appears on Moss's face, I thought she would warn you, pointing towards Ygne, even if she didn't see me, I know she knew something was around. Speaking to Ygne, You're the first one in a really long time to sense my approach. How did you know ?

Tapping her nose knowingly, Ygne smirks. "Ygne the Vigilant," she replies matter-of-factly.

You know, I never gave you your 2 gold gold pieces for your services when you unchained me. And I'm not one that likes to be in debt, so here's a little gift. Moss takes two small vials from a pouch and hands them to Ygne. It should be more than enough, but be very careful with them.

Ygne ponders the vials for a moment, holding them up and eyeing their contents. After tipping them back and forth slowly, she pops each open and takes a small sniff. Wrinkling her nose unfavorably at one of them more than the other, Ygne corks both of the vials once more and slips them into her pouch with the twig fetish. A small grin appears on her face and she chuckles very briefly. "Consider the debt settled, your highness."
