Goblins 2, 3 and 4 are dead
Ogre 1 has taken 46 points of damage.
Ogre 2 has taken 8 points of damage
You shot you rays but as the last one fires your body is pulled through the arcane rift and appears right next to the goblin you rolled a 1 against. The plus side the rays's that hit the ogre and the other goblin strike for double damage and the goblin explodes.

That's what I did, I just worded it awkwardly. I cast the cantrip True Strike as an action and used Quickened Spell to cast Scorching Ray as a bonus action. I wouldn't have wasted the two sorcery points if I had realized True Strike was only good for the first roll. I looked at the duration and thought it was good for the entire round. Since the first attack was at advantage, the roll of (8) + 7 = 15 for 7 damage on Goblin 1 is the roll that should count, not the crit fail.

The ogres use half their movement to stand then move 20 feet closer and hurl a javelin each.

1d20+6 : (20) + 6 = 26

1d20+6 : (1) + 6 = 7

2d6+4 : (36) + 4 = 13

No sweat. I'm finding that creating and playing a sorceror is a lot more complex than I thought. I seem to be making it a habit to read too quickly and miss things, like how many times True Strike applies, then regretting earlier decisions. I don't think I would have taken True Strike if I had realized it's limitations. I also would have taken one or two different spells if I had figured out Metamagic in advance. Right now, the only thing that applies to Twinned Spell is Fire Bolt.

Since this is a test of the Argunist, I'll wait for HypCo before I take my turn.

With both BB and Ryte hitting the second ogre it goes down. Ryte's first attack misses hitting next to the ogre's head.

It also seems like the argunist could take all these things lit himself. Almost the point, but you have also been rolling incredibly well.

Extra d8 is the superiority die: "When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can* expend one superiority die to attempt to knock the target down. You add the superiority die to the attack's damage roll, and if the target is Large or smaller, it must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, you knock the target prone."

*Also, with that miss on the first attack, I don't use up the superiority die for that attack.

You are tracking a killer troll. Ypu have tracked him down to a cavw he is hiding in. As you enter you hear a roar outside. Going out to check on it you see your quarry 30 feet from the cave opening. He does not look happy.

How does reload property work with Haste? I was going to cast it on the argunist, but not if it would be wasted because he can't reload his gun fast enough.
