Howling like wolf himself, Rufio charges forward, meeting the wolves head and on. He tries to stab one in the eye with the wand he's holding before wrapping his arms around its neck for a choke hold.

Bonus grapple attempt from Tavern Brawler.

EDIT: Oops, sorry, that's two bonus actions in a round scratch the grapple attempt.

The wolf proves too fast for Mel as it races past her, her sword only catching air.

Rufio stabs the wand out, which jabs into the wolfs eye. It lets out a yelp, followed by a growl.

Unless I'm missing something, you misunderstood Dissonant Whispers. It doesn't require an attack roll, just a save from the target. On a fail, they take 3d6 and must use their reaction to move as far as possible from the caster; on a save, they take half and don't need to move.

The wolf shakes it head at the song but continues it's charge towards the party.

The three wolves all converge onto Rufio...but only one manages to get through his tough skin and quick feet (2 piercing; Str save DC 11 or prone).

You all hear a deep, guttural howl come from further down in the cave.

The wolf snarls as Mel rushes towards it, it readies a leap but it's swiftly interrupted by a heavy shield blow causing it to send it reeling back.

Rufio's punch meets the sharp points of the wolf's teeth (1 point piercing), he uses the close proximity to wrap his arm around the beast's neck, wrestling it into submission.

Bhalfras has trouble grabbing the wolf and keeping hold while still avoiding it's snarling growl.

The wolves charge in again, one on each.

The one on Mel can't find a weakness in her armor.

Rufio's wolf bucks around and gains purchase into his leg (7 points piercing).

Bhalfras' manages to just avoid the snap of the wolf as it strikes towards him.

OOC:

Misread pack tactics, ignore the advantage on Mel (8 to hit) and Bhalfras (8 to hit), so they both miss.
