Can I use that advantage to perhaps notice something important, like a gravity override switch or something?
Sep 19, 2017 4:19 pm
The grav system is broken, since so is the station. But, you could use the advantage to notice the mag-boots on your suits...

:-)
Sep 19, 2017 6:45 pm
You've got to be kidding me.... okay, yeah, mag boots it is.
Sep 19, 2017 9:39 pm
You know, I was like, what kind of suit doesn't have magnetic soles?
Sep 20, 2017 5:50 pm
Shoulda said something!

:-)

Okay, I think you guys have spent enough time getting to know each other, so we'll say the ship is just beyond this zero-grav zone. Just got to get there before the station disintegrates.
Sep 20, 2017 6:07 pm
So what's the deal? We just activate the boots and start walking? Or is there some sort of check?
Sep 20, 2017 6:13 pm
Well Ta'hida still needs to get down to the ground. Then you can walk to the docking bay and board the ship.

I've messaged bigtukker to see if he's still playing. If he's dropped out I'll arrange a replacement.

I haven't heard from bigtukker so I'm going to invite a new player in. If bigtukker turns up we'll just run with five.

Hello, everyone! I'm the new player flug invited in. I'm playing Vorin Shuos, a Clawdite Consular/Ascetic, currently operating under the assumed identity of "Paqa," a Mirialan vagabond. She was found by the Jedi Order in the very late stages of the Clone Wars as a little girl, but was placed with the Agri-Corps until such a time as a Clawdite Initiate wouldn't excite controversy. She escaped the Jedi Purge and has spent the last nineteen years hiding out on a desolate world, but has rejoined the galaxy and is seeing where the Force leads her.

Welcome! How are we going to meetup IC? I thinking Vorin could come from the opposite direction and meet us at the ship right when we get there.
Sep 24, 2017 9:38 pm
Already in it and trying to steal it?
Sep 24, 2017 9:54 pm
Coming from the opposite direction is a good idea. I like the idea that she heard Mayron's shout of "If you don't have a ship of your own, follow me!" but was forced to take a different route. I'm thinking she's been stowing away on different ships and using her shapeshifting to escape detection, so another possibility is that she's already in the ship and hiding in the cargo hold or one of the escape pods.

That was my first thought, but didn't want to engender mistrust at the start.

Yeah, I think trying to steal the ship would be going a bit too far. Noticing a ship starting up and hiding on board it might be easier; a station coming apart is a situation that makes it easy to justify asking forgiveness over asking permission.

But if we want to avoid any possibility of bad blood at the start, using Mayron's proclamation would be a good way to justify Vorin picking this ship and you guys feeling obligated to take her.

Ok, I'm slow, but what are we looking at here? Is this through the windows out into space? What are drives and drive trails?
Sep 25, 2017 8:28 pm
Drives/drive trails refers to the light emitted by spaceship engines as they come on and move about, I believe. Either some ships just arrived in the system, or they were here already and just turned their engines on and are now shooting at each other.
Sep 25, 2017 9:38 pm
Yup, what he said.

The escape pods and ships left, now three groups of other ships are shooting.
Sep 26, 2017 10:33 pm
After thinking about it a bit, I think I prefer the idea of introducing Vorin by having her "randomly" stumble upon an already-running ship named "Serendipity" while searching for a means off the station. I can narrate that whenever flug thinks it's appropriate, and then the rest of the group can either find her outside the ship looking for a way in, or inside the ship hiding.

Now would be as good a time as any, Kaigen, go ahead.

The A-36 Pathfinder has four crew; one pilot, one co-pilot, one sensor tech, one gunner. What positions do you all want to take?
