OOC:
Oh, I'm excited. Everything you guys have done here so far has been building to this bit. :)

Heartboiler frowns heavily, not looking anyone in the eye, ashamed of her own behaviour. I don't know what happened, it felt like I ate a whole bowl of Slicers famous "foul meat stew" and then went for a jog, right before I got sick. I am very sorry for how I acted back there. She mumbles, staring at the ground. If the guards take them to the Diggermattocks she would lose more and more of the sulking attitude and regain her usual irritated self, perhaps even more irritated, but it's hard to tell with the way her face is always set. She doesn't talk, unless someone asks her a direct question.

OOC:
how long do these effects last? Do I get to make another save at some point?

Dramasailor sent a note to Bad_forest_monkey
The guard flags down a passing comrade and quickly and quietly chats to him. You hear snippets of the conversation in Undercommon revolving around "Diggermattocks" and "immediately". The new guard takes you quickly through the streets of Blingdenstone, through now familiar chambers. After a short time, you walk into a larger space. Two dozen or so svirfneblin occupy this well-lit cavern, some moving briskly with messenger pouches in hand while others huddle around several stone tables covered in maps and other papers, talking in hushed, serious tones. The back of the room is dominated by a dais carved from the rock of the cavern, atop which rest two stone desks facing each other. Two svirfneblin — one male, one female — sit behind the desks, conferring with advisers and each other. They turn their attention to you as you enter.

Yes Valbin, how can we help you?

Bildaweer, impatient due to the seemingly impending doom of Blingdenstone yells out loud Friends! Stop what you're doing immediately and listen! He pauses waiting for everyone's attention. I am sure you are aware of the ooze threat. Hear me know and listen well. A short time ago we encountered a gigantic, monstrous being comprised of oozes with a collective conscious of sorts referring to himself as a King. He is amassing more oozes and jellies as we speak. We must prepare the defenses of Blingdenstone at once. An attack is imminent.

Yes, this would corroborate several of the rumors that we have heard lately. Your information is indeed valuable, so much so that you are welcome to take this spell gem Bildaweer. the male says, holding out a dull bloodstone. Bildaweer, you are sure this stone is empty.

There is a council meeting tomorrow, here in Diggermattock Hall. We would be grateful if you would all attend and provide the council with any information you gathered. We must come up with a coordinated plan to ouster this enemy.

bildaweer, I had an idea about what could be done with the giant ooze. The deep gnomes here have created a massive city out of the rock and earth just like my people. So they must have some way of clearing massive amounts of earth in a short period of time to help excavate for future additions to the city. My people use expensive powder to blast away stone. If the gnomes here have something similar could we not create a cave in to collapse the room with the giant
Ooze and kill or trap anything there?

Bildaweer takes the gem and bows. This will be of great use to me in the battle to come. I thank you.

He turns to Cemos Sounds like a good start. He puts a finger to his lips in deep thought. We'd have to sneak about so as not to be seen. Perhaps there's a cavernous room above or below the beast. What about the aftermath such as if it doesn't work or somehow escapes? It's probably best if we manage to kill it.

Someone please roll me a general Intelligence check.

Also, as you all look around and have your conversations, you notice that Misha has disappeared on the trip to the Diggermattocks.
OOC:
Tactic unfortunately had some real life things come up and is stepping away from the site entirely. Effectively Misha is running away to rest and recuperate from her bout with madness, so if they return at some point, the character lives on. I will be happy when the "summer slowdown" is over on the site. :)

Once arrived at the Diggermattocks Heartboiler looks around, not saying a word because words aren't what she's good at. She wants to make a small comment on the killing of the ooze mass to Misha when she notices the warrior no longer being with them. With an irritated grunt, laced with some sadness about losing a potential friend, HB sits down, crossing her legs, both Cloudstrike and Knyttneve in her lap.

Bildaweer, you think back on your fight with the yellow slime on the way out of the Rockblight. It seemed to ignore the rubble and pour right through it like water. You aren't sure that collapsing anything will do much to stop the oozes if they have a desire to get there.

OOC:
Do I recall any vulnerabilities like fire? And I seem to recall from months earlier now that the menhirs were keeping them at bay?

Bildaweer, you don't really recall any vulnerabilities, though you did observe that certain kinds of cutting type attacks caused some of the creatures to split into smaller versions of themselves. In terms of the menhirs, it didn't seem to do anything regarding the oozes that I recall. The information about the menhir was that the elementals would get screwed up by Ogremach's Bane if they weren't near the now-cleansed temple area.

Bildaweer relates what he remembers. Mayhap the falling of stalactites might cut such a beast into smaller pieces? But, we probably need to talk with some of my people. Any thoughts?
Jul 29, 2018 5:50 pm
Aye, I would expect cutting something that large into smaller sizes would take to long and we would become overwhelmed. If a collapse of the hall wouldn't kill it I am not sure what would save for a massive army to fight the creature. And many souls would be lost in that fight.

The Diggermattocks have turned back to themselves, looking over a map and other papers on the desk while you all make plans.
Aug 7, 2018 5:13 pm
Well, we will get no where just sitting here. Bildaweer goes to the Diggermattocks and taps a shoulder Uh . . . whom do we speak to about gathering troops, weaponry and the defenses?
Aug 7, 2018 5:45 pm
The female turns to look at you. As we mentioned, we are going to be having a proper war council tomorrow. You can speak to them then. We will be here at the second chiming of the day's bell. she says.

Bildaweer, you remember that in Blingdenstone, there is a gentle ringing of a bell that signifies every hour passage.
Aug 9, 2018 11:33 am
is there anything we can do to help prepare before the council begins?
