Marie-Louise nods, peeks around the corner and whispers the incantation (slightly wrinkling her nose at the creaky sound of her voice), shooting a beam of magic at the nearest antennaboy.

In a flash of activity, ML and Stitch manage to eliminate both the antennaeboys! Their husks fall to the ground with a twitch, which unfortunately draws the attention of the melty men, who howl as the creatures fall!

Combat, waiting on Revelry to take an action before meltys.

OOC:
Oops, sorry. I didn't know this was waiting on me.
Revelry steps in front of Marie-Louise and unleashes a string of insults towards the closest melty man. He turns his head back to Marie-Lousie "You did well, Marie-Louise, you are quite inspiring."
OOC:

The melty creature nearest to Revelry turns to face the hallway where you all poured out of and seethes, sending a spray of noxious spittle across the floor, just as Tolwir rushes towards them. He can't quite make it the whole way there, however, stopping about ten feet shy. The two creatures lumber forward towards Tolwir, slashing out with their claws! The first one seems to be shaken, however, and slices into nothing but air. The second stops his swing just for a moment as he watches the other fail with curiosity. This proves to be too great a distraction, and he comes up with a whiff as well!

PCs are back up. Roll 20 has been updated. Melty 1 is the one with the red dot. Melty 2 has a blue dot.

Marie-Louise smiles when the antennaeboys drop dead on the floor. She steps up next to Revelry, reaching for his hand, wondering for a second why he makes her feel so powerful. She rolls her eyes at the weak attempts of the blubberfaces to hurt Tolwir, quickly shoving her hand towards Melty2, firing a beam of energy at him.

Marie-Louise's magic blows a solid hole right through the middle of the first melty-man. Stitch, seeing the perfect opportunity as the other melty man reaches out to put his hand in the gaping hole in his friend, sends an arrow sailing over Tolwir's head, dropping the other melty man to the ground.

Combat over! One shot/two shot. Dead melty guys.
Jun 4, 2018 6:07 pm
Tolwir turns back around to shoulder his orc again. He seems happy, not at all upset that he didn't have a chance to attack himself.
Jun 4, 2018 8:05 pm
Stitch smiles triumphantly, and as he walks past Marie-Louise he says That was some great shooting we did! Very happy with their outcome! Now lead the way Marie-Louise and we shall follow

I'd like to collect any arrows that I can, and also inspect the bodies for anything interesting

You find one of your arrows still stuck in the antennaeboy corpse. It comes out easily enough. When you get near the melty-guy, however, it would seem that his nastily acidic viscera melted the arrow into a twisted, unusable mess.

When you get close enough to inspect the bodies, you find not a ton of interest.

Marie-Louise smiles and nods at Stitch. Yes, this was fun! She lets go of Revelry's hand and walks over to the corpses, curious to see what they look like up close before they continue down the hall.

Looking at the antennaboys and the meltymen Marie-Louise's head turns slightly sideways, brows furrowed as she thinks about what all of this means. She slowly turns so that she can speak to everyone at once, but before she does she glances accusingly at Antoinette, putting the doll in the pocket of her dress. The bodies, they're still here. I didn't really notice it before, it didn't seem like a big deal and I was too busy having fun, but I just remembered something I read in a book about demons, when I was learning Abyssal, which is of course the language demons speak. The body of a demon disappears when it's killed on our world. The only place where their bodies remain after death is in the Abyss itself. I really hope Gwar'hull'ij knows where to find or how to make a portal back to our world, because I don't and we need to get back there fast. Because these things are the rats of our world, insignificant beings compared to the horrors that live here described in that book. So let's hurry! She actually seems a bit worried about their chances of survival for the first time, her delightful curiosity hidden behind a layer of fear. For the time being she keeps the information about some of the author's travel companions going insane and never returning with him back to their plane of existence to herself, not wanting to worry the others even more.
She turns around quickly and hurries down the hallway and to the spot where Gwar'hull'ij left her.

Stitch swallows hard, and looks a little worried as well. He whispers to the group.
Perhaps I should take lead as I can pass by most undetected? I feel like being hidden is the best thing down here
Jun 8, 2018 6:17 pm
Yes, yes, by all means please. The abyss... Tolwir is worried, even shaking a bit. If only he had paid more attention or studied harder, he could have been able to lend a solution to this.
Jun 10, 2018 6:32 pm
Marie-Louise turns, raising an eyebrow at Stitch. Sure, you take the lead and get your head bitten of the second Gwar'hull'ij sees you, because YOU'RE not his friend and he only promised ME to not eat you unless I say so. Clearly we should trust a demon to stay true to his word when the one he has promised it to is not the first thing he sees. He trusts me, I never said he does the same with you. At least bring the food, so he might be distracted... She shakes his head and turns around again, letting Stitch go first if he wants to and then walking to the door she saw fluffy enter, knocking three times and waiting.
Jun 12, 2018 2:22 pm
Stitch bows slightly and exaggeratedly gestures for Marie-Louise to go first. Gwar'hull'ij has to see me first though for that to happen, but after you so that yo may calm him, as I do like to keep my head on my shoulders
Jun 12, 2018 3:12 pm
The party, following behind the diminutive form of Marie-Louise, makes their way across the main hall into the narrow space where she had "spoken" with Gwar'hull'ij. The sounds of crashing still echo from the room that was leaking green gas earlier. As you round the corner, putting the gas-leaking room behind you, you are presented with a hallway with five doors. Two on the left side, three on the right side. Marie-Louise, you saw Gwar'hull'ij slip into the last room on the right earlier. When you get there and knock, nothing happens for a moment. After a few tense moments, with nothing but the increasingly twisted sounds of crashing and snarling from rooms around you, the door opens and a gorbatdog looks down at Marie-Louise with his head cocked to one side. A snort and a vile drip of spit falls from his jowls, splashing onto the floor. He sees the others behind the little girl and his lip starts curling into a snarl, but he holds his otherwise expected attack.
Jun 13, 2018 6:01 pm
Marie-Louise looks up at the gorbatdog, smiling, recognising the cocked head as that of Gwar'hull'ij.
