I would say that you render someone unconscious rather than slay them if you bring them to 0 or less HP and make a point of telling me before your attack.

before acting, one question. I want to shoot at the hermit's foot to try to intimidate him but without actually hurting him. Should I do my regular RAT roll and use the result as an intimidation roll or just do a regular intimidation roll (MND+AU)?

Do a MND+AU roll and add your WB as a 'threat', no shot required.

I misread, thought it was Bart who told Herja to forget the flute for now but turns out it was Esteber. Edited my post accordingly. The whole conversation between Herja and Atarin (with Esteber butting in) happens while the group is running for the mausoleum stairs.
