I would permit you to heal while using your shield, you would simply hold your weapon in your shield hand for a brief time or something.

There really are no rules for using one as a weapon, I would allow you to use one improvised. WB+0, OD +1

I think Grendel is gone

Well that sucks...

He's been inactive for 17 days now... I hope he's ok.

I played a few roll20/g+ games with him in November, then he said he was taking on some extra holiday work. I reminded him he's welcomed back any time, he said thanks. Last I heard. I agree. Hope all is ok.
