Soo... we're just waiting. Weiryn get's his spells at dawn, or? In that case, do we camp down for full rest?

OOC:
Weiryn prays/preps at dawn. Unless someone suggests otherwise, that's what he thinks we should do.
May 16, 2018 4:46 pm
Well, if you're going to wait half a day, this might be the perfect opportunity to look into Danovich's journal.

OOC:
I believe that is in rolands pack, if I am wrong I will edit this post.
"I agree with resting and preparing. Rushing into things half cocked is likely to get us killed. Let's use the time to go over what we have and what we know. Mayhap there is something to be learned yet."

Roland reaches into his haversack and pulls out Danovich's journal.

"Lets start with this."
May 16, 2018 5:05 pm
Weiryn decides to sit next to the circle and starts going over Danovich's journal, and he keeps coming back to the page regarding Ireena.

"I keep forgetting about this blasted Tome mentioned in Danovich's writings. Perhaps when we return to the village, I should return to Madam Eva and ask her about it. She always speaks in riddles, but they have thus far spoken the truth once solved."
May 16, 2018 7:07 pm
Ireena chimes in.

"There is really no need to wait. We have plenty of time to go visit her and come back here before nightfall."

Then as she quickly peers into the tome.

"Wait, why is my name in there?"

Roland hand Ireena the journal
"The priest claims that you are adopted. I know not if it is true."
May 16, 2018 7:46 pm
"What? This is ridiculous! Guess he must have written that after the madness got hold of him..."
May 16, 2018 7:48 pm
"Could be," Darren says with a shrug, "Would it really matter, though? If he was a good father to you, that's all that matters. Maybe Ismark would know more."
May 16, 2018 7:53 pm
"I know this may be hard for you Ireena, but we need to focus. One mission at a time. Let's rest here, and research what we can research from here, and then finish this search for the sword. Once that is complete I promise to help you find the truth about your upbringing."
OOC:
What else is in this journal?

The two passages worthy of note are in the handout. There are plenty of other passages denoting various mundane activities. Then later, the death of his son Doru at the hands of brigands on the Old Svalich Road. Danovich's expedition to Castle Ravenloft to obtain the torn piece of parchment which would give him the instructions to reanimate his son as a blaspheme, and his subsequent descent into madness...

"Hm...I suppose there would be no harm in going there and back again. Especially since we won't be going through this door until tomorrow anyways. The road here was quiet, but I would be glad for the company should any of you wish to join me in visiting Madam Eva."

Weiryn looks at the map he got from Bildrath, trying to determine how far they are from the location mentioned in Danovich's journal.
OOC:
How far are we from the approximate area that Ireena was found as a child?

OOC:
The bedrock spire upon which Castle of Ravenloft is built upon is the same one which is standing behind the cemetery at Barovia. The Castle was easily seen from the village, looming ominously over it...
"Well, since I'm the one who suggested it, I guess I should tag along."

"I would like to stay here incase the mysterious woman reappears."
