Everyone enters the ruins, except Grapthor and Eldritch who are still outside. Grapthor whistles at the goblins, pretty much giving up that they spotted them. However, Grapthor does not get the reaction he had hoped as he witnesses the goblins running away...
A quick look shows the goblin party to be roughly the same size as yours (would require an action with a Perception check to determine exact numbers). It would be possible to get a shot or two on them at -2 (-1 for the distance, another -1 from cover for the rocks), before they are out of view.
After stewing on it a moment, Kanyil continues her thoughts out loud. "Well whatever their purposes for being here, we’d be safe to assume we’ll not be likely to take anybody by surprise from here on out. Someone knows we’re here."
Eldritch takes a pot shot anyway with a fire beam. If nothing else, seeing magical fire should make them think twice about coming back in a hurry, he muses.
"Stop! What are you doing," exclaims Kanyil. "Why would you throw your fire at them when they haven’t taken any hostile actions against our party? Maybe they just live here!"
One, they're goblins.
Two, if they come back in greater numbers, I doubt very much they'd give you the same friendliness
Oh, and three, they're goblins.
"Alrecht, nae need tae be bickerin' ower spilt milk... ur slain goblins... Hoo abit we explair those ruins? They're aiblins th' remains ay th' temple ay Helia we're supposed tae search fur 'at artifact."
The dwarf scratches his head and then formulates a plan.
"Fur starters, mebbe swatch fur onie symbol ur iconography ay Helia tae make sure we hae th' reit ruins? 'En, Ah dornt believe she ever tauld us whit thes Staurn ay Helia looked loch, but guess it main be ancient-lookin'."
Im not that good and build for close quarters, i will stay in the back and on the lookout, i suggest just go in and we will see if we are correct, if so then great if not we might find some loot
He smiles and a twinkel apears as he thinks of money and fame
