Ahh the tiebreaker - sry!

Rolls

1d20

(18) = 18

Nov 8, 2018 3:49 pm
OOC:
The characters are done, we keep them as they are. Besides, for having played with both wizards and sorcerers in the same party in the past, they do complement each other quite nicely.
First round of combat.

Initiative
Feridir 12
Netdraeth 12
Kanyil 9 (10 with dagger)
Woodroya 8
Romana 6
Devin 6
Rats 6
OOC:
(In order for Berryn to hear combat, there will be a need for combat to happen, so he'll able to join next round.)
Feridir, Netdraeth, Kanyiul, Woodroya, Romana, and Devin can place their counters on the map now. Jusging from the posting, Devin and Netdraeth are probably up front.

Conditions
Rats are Tiny size, this mean you'll have a -4 penalty to your attack and spells rolls to attack them and they have a +4 bonus on their attack rolls to attack you.

To avoid waisting too much time waiting for me to roll the rat's DEF after each of your attacks, you will roll the rat's DEF while attacking them (and I will roll your DEF while the rats attack you).
Rat's DEF: 2

Once the counters are placed, Feridir can then act.
Seems Cave Johnson forgot to add his Lightning Reflexes, so we have a tie between Feridir and Netdraeth. We need another tie breaker roll here.

Sent a PM to Gaz. I did not notice the Zs next to his username...

Tie Breaker?

Rolls

Tiebreaker? - (1d20)

(6) = 6

Nov 12, 2018 5:43 pm
OOC:
I'll go ahead and throw my post in there so if he beats me thats cool
Netdraeth pulls out his club and hoists his shield. He opens the door (if its not already opened) "What-oh, lets mustah these pets cleaaared out of here. " and moves in towards the center and swings at the most dangerous looking one.
OOC:
if i did somthing wrong someone let me know so i may correct it please.

Rolls

Attack DC 8 - (1d20)

(13) = 13

rato defence DC 2 - (1d20)

(12) = 12

Nov 13, 2018 1:25 am
Netdraeth swings and misses, the small target being difficult to hit...

Feridir gets as close to the door without being in the way of anyone wanting to shoot inside the room and shoots an arrow at the rat he ca see the most.
OOC:
Whoop, 16-4=12, not 14...
His arrows misses, hitting the ground some distance to the left of the rat...

Kanyil is up next!

Rolls

Feridir attaack (RAT 16 -4 size, total CTN: 14) - (1d20)

(13) = 13

Rat's DEF: 2 - (1d20)

(18) = 18

Nov 13, 2018 5:20 pm
OOC:
Before Kanyil acts, is it true that another character may pass through a space occupied by another PC? I assume a PC cannot use a move action to pass through a space occupied by an enemy, but can they pass through a space occupied by another PC on their own team?
Nov 14, 2018 12:52 am
OOC:
The game rules are silent on that, I'm just allowing it for ease of play.
Nov 14, 2018 5:37 pm
OOC:
Kanyil attacked with her crowbar last encounter so she was carrying that when this one bagan.
It doesn't make any difference on the Initiative order, though.
Kanyil, seeing that Netdraeth ran headlong into the room, realizes he's about to get himself surrounded and swarmed with rats, and decides to run in and keep a pathway open for his retreat. As she enters the room behind the strangely dressed dwarf she uses her crowbar to attempt to splatter the rat immediately to her right (above her on the map).

She misses wildly, and begins shouting at Netdraeth, "Get out of there before you get swarmed and we can't help you! We should bottleneck them in the doorway!"

Woodroya is up next.
Nov 16, 2018 2:08 pm
Woodroya steps just inside the door to help ward of the swarm, and jabs with her spear.

Rolls

Spear 13, rat def 2 - (1d20, 1d20)

1d20 : (12) = 12

1d20 : (4) = 4

Nov 16, 2018 3:58 pm
OOC:
You forgot to apply the -4 modifier t your attack score for the rat's Tiny size...
Woodroy tries to stab at a rat but the evasive little fuckers are hard to hit...

Romana is up next.
Nov 17, 2018 8:25 am
With a jingle of gold coins, Romana flourishes and unleashes a fire beam at the nearest rodent.

Fire Beam TSC 13, -4 for ratsize: CTN9

Rolls

Ratkabob - (1d20)

(19) = 19

Nov 17, 2018 3:57 pm
Devin steps up beside the door frame, "Don't go in there!" he calls, "They'll swarm you!"
Nov 17, 2018 6:37 pm
Devin, you're doing anything else? Waiting perhaps?
Nov 17, 2018 7:58 pm
OOC:
Yeah, I'll wait
Nov 18, 2018 2:18 am
Alright, rats' turn. Since they are tiny, some of them will enter 2 per squares. So we'll have 4 attacks on Kanyil and 7 on Netdraeth. 2 more rants will also enter the room through cracks in the wall.

One rat hits Kanyil for 5 points of damage, and another one for 8. Teh others miss, with one rolling a Fumble, so Kanyil can make an undefendable melee attack on that rat.

Netdraeth for his part takes a total of 12 points of damage (mostly from partially defended attacks).

Sry all, apparently I suck as a rat fryer. :(

OOC:
@ KaeJae: Don't beat yourself up. the -4 size penalties make rats hard to hit, especially for 1st level characters, but they have very little HP, so if your hit, you're like 90% guaranteed to kill them. Plus, if there are people in the way, that's another -1 penalty per obstacle in the way...
@Mandroid: Fearfully entering the ruins while feeling goblinoid eyes watching you, you eventually spot some light in the distance while hearing the sound of battle. You'll be able to reach the bottom of the battle map this round!

First round of combat.

Feridir 12
Kanyil 9 (10 with dagger)
