Second round of combat!

Initiative
12 Netdraeth
9 Giant ants
8 Woodroya
8 Devin (got up here from waiting last round)
6 Berryn
6 Romana
6 Devin (normal initiative)

Combat map

To avoid bugging down combat, roll the enemy's DEF alongside your attack. Giant ant's DEF: 9

Conditions
The giant ants are Small creatures, and as such are at -2 to hit.
Purple giant ant: -5 HP.
Do not forget to count a -1 per obstacle in the way (allies, enemies, walls, etc.) when performing ranged attacks.

Netdraeth is up!

OOC:
iirc you cant move thru allies? so net would have to wait. Can i hold and move when wood moves? or can i attack then move?
Feb 8, 2019 6:23 am
OOC:
You can move through allies. You can either move and take an action, or take an action and then move, so you could attack the ant and then move out of the room.

Yas Hortghar attacks!!

Netdraeth then moves back to an unoccupied corner on the hall per the mentioned tactics.

Rolls

Club to purple ant 1 CTN: 12 - (1d20)

(3) = 3

small Giant ant DEF: 9 - (1d20)

(16) = 16

Netdraeth manages to bonk the and on the head before backing up.

The ants approach the nearest target, which is Woodroya, and attack her. the two ants attacking around the doorway will have a -1 penalty. Ouch, ouch, ouch! the RGN Gods does not love Woodroya. She first gets bit for 2 points of damage, then again for another 8, and a final bite for another 11. Do you have a Doge or something you can use?

Rolls

Ant 1 (MAT: 11 +2 Size, -1 doorway, total CTN: 12) - (1d20)

(7) = 7

Woodroya's defense (DEF: 14, -1 ant bite, total CTN: 13) - (1d20)

(5) = 5

Ant 2 (MAT: 11 +2 Size, total CTN: 13) - (1d20)

(8) = 8

Woodroya's defense (DEF: 14, -1 ant bite, total CTN: 13) - (1d20)

(18) = 18

Ant 3 (MAT: 11 +2 Size, -1 doorway, total CTN: 12) - (1d20)

(11) = 11

Woodroya's defense (DEF: 14, -1 ant bite, total CTN: 13) - (1d20)

(15) = 15

Not as a specific ability; I have Parry on my wish list, but haven't put points into it yet.
Feb 8, 2019 11:33 pm
OOC:
dam i knew i shouldnt have moved.. :,( i blame them in their tatical choices..
Feb 9, 2019 12:12 am
OOC:
You nave Parry, it's counted in your DEF. Brutal Blow seems to be in your wish list. Well, Woodroya takes a total of 21 points of damage. Are you still up? This might be important since Devin is up next.

OOC:
doesnt he have a held action? in theory couldnt he go before he goes?
Feb 9, 2019 12:28 am
OOC:
Nope, I'm at -5, still had damage from the rats.
Feb 9, 2019 12:55 am
OOC:
Yeah, waiting also gives you +2 initiative, hence why he climbed in the initiative order.

Devin, slightly panicked, moves to Woodroya, "Oh no, no, oh no," he mutters, attempting to channel his magical energy into healing her.

Rolls

Healing (CTN 12) - (1d20)

(6) = 6

Feb 12, 2019 2:06 am
Woodroya is healed 6 hp, giving Devin a Slayer Point. Berryn is up next.

Wait, I sort of screwed up, it was Woodroya's turn, not Devin's, but Devin could still act since he had waited last round. Anyways, it is Woodroya's turn now, then it will be Berryn's.
Feb 12, 2019 2:45 am
"Thanks," she croaks, grabs her spear, and stands up.
OOC:
Standing up is a full action, me thinks.
Feb 12, 2019 12:49 pm
Berryn launches another fire beam at the purple ant, then moves to the side allowing the melee fighters some room to maneuver.

Rolls

Fire Beam at purple ant CTN 7 (13-2(size)-4(2 people in the way)) - (1d20)

(1) = 1

Ants Defense CTN 9 - (1d20)

(19) = 19

Feb 12, 2019 3:39 pm
OOC:
If in melee, standing up is an action, unless you have some Slayer Points to use in order to stand up for free. You can still move however. Picking up your spear will also be an action, so you'll need at least 1 Slayer Point to do so anyways...
Feb 12, 2019 3:56 pm
OOC:
Alright, Woodroya stands with no weapon.
Feb 12, 2019 6:28 pm
OOC:
@ Berryn: Each obstacle in the way is only a -1, so your total CTN is 9. Since you rolled a Coup, you are considered to have rolled a 9 (the maximum you could roll) and now you get to reroll another d20, same CTN.
Feb 12, 2019 6:34 pm
OOC:
Oh shoot, why was I thinking 2, we just went through this...sorry.

Rolls

Fire Beam Coup - CTN 9 - (1d20)

(13) = 13
