i think you are supposed to designate a die and it chooses the damage type which is super sick, which book is that out of?

From Xanathar's Guide to Everything. I wasn't sure if I could roll and then pick from the 2 dice rolled, or if I had to choose the d8
prior to rolling.

For the suplex, i'm going to say that if you succeed on your grapple, the next turn you can attempt a suplex as a strength attack. The DC will be small since drakes are not large creatures. Although, the drake attack happens before your attack, so please watch order.

Looking bloodied and beaten, the drake releases a cone of fire from his mouth.
