"What the hell happened... we got drunk and had a fashion show? What the hell's going on with that case anyways? "
Chapter 1 SNAFU - Situation Normal All Fragged Up

Huginn wakes up suddenly, and snorts loudly. He looks down and see's he's wearing a a fresh synthread tracksuit, with florescent stripes and neon rainbow trim. He seems startled after his appraisal of the garments, muttering something about mixing deepweed and whiskey. Speaking of, he polished off the little splash left in the bottom of his bottle, however it fell short of scratching the itch. But then he suddenly noticed the case buzzing away, and spoke in a loud gruff grumpy tone...
"What the hell happened... we got drunk and had a fashion show? What the hell's going on with that case anyways? "

Wyvern doesn't even look up from her game as she responds, "Well, some of us got drunk. And wouldn't call any of this fashion." She gestures down at her chain-bedecked black leather outfit with distaste.

"You ever see fashion shows today? Madness. This is that, just toned down," says Greer as he looks at the team.
"We need to move now to make the rendouvous. We don't need to know what's in here,," says Greer as he knocks the box against the table a few times until it quiets down.
"Can't get too involved in an op. We're runners, not humanitarians."

"I wouldn't normally bring someone new on a run this late, but we need to get to the rendezvous.," sighs Greer as he eyes the group around him.
Greer pulls out a shabby looking commlink before he "dials" a number from memory. He murmurs the location, time, and price before making a quick sound of affirmation. Call completed, he drops the commlink and crushes it beneath his feet.
"Ok chummers. ETA 10 minutes. Grab your gear and get ready to move.," barks Greer.
Also, one of Greer's burner commlinks is destroyed.

"Drek", The Colonel muttered under his breath after hanging up the call that had interrupted his trawling of the local comms traffic he was listening in on.
He wasn't happy being contacted this way, it compromised him, drew him out in a way he didn't like to be drawn out. He reflected a moment, calming the rising paranoia-induced panic. Only a select few knew that number andiIf Greer had called him instead of using a dead drop, knowing the risk, it must be important. He would give him the benefit of the doubt, years of service together earnt him that.
He checked the satlog when he concluded the call and took a moment to comfort himself that his tracks were carefully disguised through cryptobouncing the signal across networks and satellites across the globe. He was 97% certain it was untraceable should anyone be looking. He didn't like the 3% remaining chance though so began an instant datawipe of the old commlink the call came through on and quickly broke it down to scrap, careful to take the RFID tag and data chip with him, he didn't fret his other commlink was quarantined from these sorts of intrusions from his past.
He gathered his belongings and made ready to exfil, as in his mind that 3% might as well have been 300%, he was compromised. He would have to find a new bolthole, but he was used to that and had stashes and caches all over the city. Before he left the musky room he was holed up in, he released a censor spray charge, allowing the chemicals to remove any biological evidence of his presence.
Emerging on the street from an alley, his possessions strapped to him in one way or another, he hung back in the shadow checking for watchers and tails before he made his move.
He knew the area and noticing a transit bus pull up near by and recalling its route, heslid underneath and nestled himself into its undercarriage and hitched his way, unknown to its occupants, to within walking distance of Greer's reported position. He checked his watch, 3 minutes and 34 seconds had passed since Greer contacted him.
"Getting sloppy, you old bastard," he scolded himself.
Let me know if you want any roles for any of the above, but I thought I'd just keep it less rule bound by way of introduction,
but happy to go back if you prefer.

I realise that the characters can't see/hear any of this, its more for a smoother intro. The Colonel is en route but I will wait and see if anyone else wants to do anything in the remaining 6 minutes and 26 seconds before he gets there.Let me know if you want any roles for any of the above, but I thought I'd just keep it less rule bound by way of introduction,

Knowing that The Colonel is always on time the three slightly exhausted runners go through the miniature maze that Huggin has set up to exit his "house". As they emerge into the misty Redmond's air they see a bullet pocked transit bus. The bus has sheets of steel welded onto it to cover up some of the bullet holes and the windows are deprived of any glass. The bus stops and up pops from nowhere Greer's old "friend".
Wyvern exits next. The matrix signals here aren't all that great, noise levels are pretty high and reception is spotty, but it feels as if the world is full of life again compared to Huggin's black hole.
Huggin exits last. The light drizzle obscures visibility. Making the exit all the more hard for any suspicious types to notice. He looks down at the ground and sees a bottle of "Likker" a nasty vat grown whisky with about two thumbs remaining.
The Colonel see his old companion Greer emerge from an alleyway. Greer is dressed in gawd knows what and his companions are dressed even stranger. Greer is holding a simple white case. As Greer nods his recognition the case seems to shake a bit then goes still.

This is the last bus out of here for 30 minutes. Unless you are going to walk this is your ride.Feb 13, 2018 2:56 am
The Colonel lowered himself quickly from the bus's chassis. Peering out from from under the bus he spotted Greer immediately and noticed a human and an ork near him who he assumed was the crew he was running with. He would meet them soon enough but first there was work to do...there was always work to do.
Quickly assessing the situation, The Colonel recognised the potential need to stall the bus he had hitched here on. Reaching up under the wheel base he attempted to dislodge a series of cables leading to the rear door in an effort to have the rear doors stay open as he tried to buy some time.
After he finished with the wires he rolled out quickly from the bus and moved casually to the wall of a nearby decrepit looking used electronic parts store. He nonchallantly lit a cigarette as he absent mindedly patted his hidden weapons to ensure they were there. He locked eyes with Greer with a quick movement of his hand ordered him to stay where he was. The Colonel wanted to get his bearings, check for tails, do his due diligence as he looked about and took in the scene.
Realising The Colonel has default knowledge of automotive mechanics, I still want to attempt an automotive mechanic success test to pull the correct wiring to the rear door of the bus without breaking the bus, trying to buy time. I guess the roll is: LOGIC [MENTAL] against what ever threshold you set? My attempted roll is below but I might got it wrong.
Also want to do a full blown perception test of visual and audio combined. Checking for followers, anything out of the ordinary, dangers etc.
Given his skillset am assuming a PERCEPTION + INTUITION [MENTAL] with a series of modifiers from gear including: +3 Per and +3 limit (Visual Enhancement), +2 Per and +2 Limit (Audio Enhancement)
Am I doing this right, do you need me to spell it out like this etc?

Rolls
Automotive Mechanic (Default) [Mental 4] on Bus - (3D6)
(353) = 11
Visual: Perception(5+3) + Intuition(4) [Mental 7] - Surrounding Area - (9D6+3)
(134526311) + 3 = 29
Audio: Perception(5+2) + Intuition(4) [Mental 6] - Surrounding Area - (9D6+2)
(452611462) + 2 = 33

So Shadowrun is crazy crunchy and itsn't easy at all to understand the mechanics. Everytime I want to do something in the matrix I go back and look it up. Also in the other SR game I play a mage and I totally got the drain wrong on summoning a spirit. And I have been playing this game every week in real life for 2 years.Just now you did many things correct. You didn't wait to roll. You just rolled as many things as you thought necessary. That is great because it keeps the game moving.
That was my preface.
The Colonel doesn't have the Automotive Mechanic skill. Automotive mechanic defaults to Logic -1 die. The Colonel has Logic 3 so he should roll 2d6.
Visual perception: The Colonel has Perception skill 5 and Intuition of 4. Cybereyes with vision enhancement rating 3. So you should have rolled 12d6.
Audio perception: The Colonel has Perception skill 5 and Intuition of 4. Earbuds with audio enhancement rating 2. So you should have rolled 11d6.
I hope you are OK with me helping out :) No need to reroll.
The Colonel notices that in the dreary smog like this his enemies could be anywhere.. However they also will have a hard time finding him and he can blend into cover easily.

Not at all, really appreciate the guidance and welcome being pulled up on anything I'm doing wrongThanks for the advice on rolls too. I realise I should have added to the dice pool rather then the result. Dur.

Huginn opens the large iron door to the antiquated fallout shelter, as it's deep groans reverberate endlessly throughout the concrete bunker. It was hard to recognize him, his green skin was now a rustic tan complexion. The tusks and pointed ears were gone. His hair was blonde instead of black, and short instead of long. He shaped the face to fit the clothes, and everything fit the part - except for his voice, seeming all to gruff for such a refined look.
"So you chummer's ready to blow this popsicle stand yet or what?"
Underneath his cloths, his form fitting body armor was snug against his skin. The thermal dampeners made it warmer than other suits of the same brand, but appearing as little more than a blur on thermal imaging was worth the sweat he lost for it. The Katana was a bit trickier to hide, but slung down low on his back would have to do. After the incident last night, he decided he better keep his blade by his side these days.

I've been in one of these fallout shelters in real life - used to do a bit of urban exploring and i stumbled across one in an abandoned hydroelectric plant. That Iron door is a real thing, along with the acoustics. I think it took something like 2-3 minutes for the echo's to fade away. Last edited February 13, 2018 10:17 pm

damn I just remembered you're all in dosguise and Greer would be unrecognisable to The Colonel. I mighy have to edit previous post. This transgression of role-playing will not standFeb 14, 2018 1:07 am

I agree with Marithyme.Huggin, Greer and Wyvern make a downtown etiquette test for me as an aside roll. Want to see if you notice that bringing a samurai sword to a downtown-ish restaurant screams shadowrunner.
